^ Me too.
When I held that gun in my hand, I felt a surge of power…like God must feel when he’s holding a gun.
I haven't gotten mine yet either but I have the money in the account and the confirmation page saved in my email. There is also the confirmation on the layway account you set up. If you have those, you have no worries.
Again, you are talking about a lot of money GV would lose out on if the orders were just cancelled and the tickets were not somehow distributed.
Sorry, I should clarify: I was told by tixmaster that dupes were not being re-released to inventory and by frontgate that layaway defaults are the same.
That said, perhaps GV will find a way to do it, but why would they not use the system (frontgate) that they already have in place?
Doesn't make sense to me.
Unless the figure is too small to make a difference - which could happen, but we're talking about the responsibility of the average Coachella goer here - GV would basically be throwing money out the window.
I'd like it to be true to an extent, but I just don't see a festival like Coachella just letting money go out the window.
Well, they're mutually exclusive.
It doesn't make sense that they would use an entirely different system to release tickets when they already have 2 in place (tixmaster/frontgate), nor does it make sense that Coachella would want to lose money by losing those ticket sales in their entirety.
Either way, I'm not claiming to know what is going on in the mind of the GV organizers, merely confirming that Tixmaster/Frontgate are telling callers that no tickets will be re-released.
Are they saying definitively that tickets will not be released, or are they saying they have no information about whether or not tickets will be released? Wording is probably important here.
3/30: White Fence, Twerps @ Bottom of the Hill
3/31: Public Service Broadcasting @ DNA Lounge
4/6: Hookworms, Disappears @ The Rickshaw Stop
4/8: Drive Like Jehu @ The Glass House
4/17: Swans, Angel Olsen
I think what Frontgate, Ticketmaster and GoldenVoice reps are saying to callers is "Fuck off we're trying to work here."
So GV will likely still do whatever the hell they want to with them when they find the number of defaulted layaway tickets come March 10th.
Yeah, you have to take into account that you are speaking to a Ticketmaster/Frontgate customer service rep. I'm sure their info is current, but that doesn't mean it can't change at any time. Ticketmaster even has their standard "check back closer to the date of the event, as more tickets are often released" whenever any show is sold out. It'll all depend on how many default.

No, don't, don't cut my hair, Ned loves my hair.
a customer service rep doesn't know shit. in the end it's up to gv. i'm sure they're well aware and have their bases covered. on the other hand, my layaway payment just got processed, 2 down 1 to go nignogs.
of course frontgate says they won't be releasing them since they are handling layaway and it is too late to sign up for it.
You also have a 10 day window to make said payment, an eternity.
