I didn't watch the webcast at all this weekend, nor did I visit the board. Too much drama in my life. At least it's good drama this time.

It's good to know that there's such a thing as "good drama," because I let serious and stupid drama interfere with my original weekend plans.

I'll be back in 2013 with HB and others. The webcast helped with my pain a little.

I was a best man at a wedding this weekend so that pretty much consumed up all of my time so I didn't even think once about Coachella, except when I mentioned how it was the only weekend I had planned the whole year and they picked the wedding date that weekend.

I'm so sad. Drained, of course, but morose. It was lovely seeing all of you in good spirits. It's important that we get together every year and do this. It's like new years really - a time for the public to stop it's busy nonsense for a second and pat each other on the back. Good job everyone.

No, I wasn't even interested in the pre-sale. I'd say I am pretty much out. Unless or until Bowie.

This shit is bananas... between the 11-months-in-advance presale, the fact that Avicii will be on the main stage next year, and the hotel I stayed in this year doubling its rates... I'm more or less out for 2013. You win, teenage ragers.

    See everyone in 2017.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

I can't plan this far in advance. I need a fucking lineup.

But I might have to beg mom+dad bro to book the timeshare again as it was pretty much the most amazing part about this year. Maybe mom+dad bro will come to Coachella? Hehehe.

I didn't even bother with the pre-sale this time around. Bigger fish to fry in 2013.

Yeah, why bother with frontgate's bullshit when you can just buy a pass at the last minute for face value or less?

It's going to take one hell of a lineup to get me to change my 2013 plans (Bestival if the lineup is impressive, otherwise Iceland Airwaves), but most of what I really want to see won't be at Coachella (if anywhere), so it's not likely.

Yeah like a few people in here this is the first time in 6 years I have had no desire to get tickets. Count me out as well unless if they get something amazing to bring me there, which really means Bowie.

I doubt Bowie is going to kill himself to play Coachella. He has heart problems.

Count me out for next year. I had very little motivation to get a pass, even though I had a great time this year. On to new adventures.

Thanks for making the boards January level intolerable in fucking May. Just as everyone was starting to trickle off and not post stupid shit about the festival very much.

It's not necessarily sold out, right -- so just how many passes were allotted for this presale?

I wasn't interested either, but bought passes just in case I have another stupid year and need my retreat/there's an off-chance they pull off a ridiculous lineup.

Count me as tentative, but likely not there.

This makes so much more sense to me than completely blowing off the presale. Why not at least try and buy tickets to see if you can/want to go later? That way if you decide not to go you can hook someone up for face value here who gets screwed, or you can go as planned and have a fucking blast... Win win.
