This is a good deal, plus I got $60 in amazon credit after being approved for the amazon visa. $100 worth of gear for $20? Done.

I can't say enough nice things about the ION Block Rocker. I picked up a refurbished one on Amazon for $99 (regular price $150) and even though I had a little trouble getting the batter to charge initially, a single charge lasted the entire weekend playing music for close to 12 hours a day at about 50% volume. the sound could be a little better quality, but with all the background noise at coachella I hardly noticed. bluetooth made it easy to play and share and it had plenty of volume to cover our camp site (7 spots) without being dicks to our neighbors.

I also can't say enough nice things about the Goal Zero Yeti 400 that I bought to replace my GZ Explorer 150. it's a little spendy at $480, but I charged up 20+ phones a day with it and never dropped below 80% even when powering lighting. I use 2 Goal Zero Escape 30s to keep it charged and it was fully charged with about 8 hours of sunlight.

thanks! I guess only the block rocker counts as a deal since the solar generator is so spendy both of them are worth the money if you go to enough campouts/festivals.

Make sure you bring jump cables incase you'll be using your car as a music source (my next door neighbor's car die twice), a good power supply, EZ ups need to be stake down and lower once to leave your campsite just in case it gets windy, one of the neighbors across me lost their EZ up and smashed his sedan's rear window. I know they don't let you take metal stakes but maybe you want to hide them somewhere, or use sand bags

I don't personally have this one so I can't attest to the quality but it's a straight leg canopy for $60.

^ I too have the ION block rocket and it's great for Coachella camping. Lasts all weekend easily.

Here's the canopy deal you've been waiting for. This bundle comes with a straight leg canopy AND 4 folding camping chairs. This bundle is actually cheaper than what the canopy by itself normally sells for.

    http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trai...er=lw9MynSeamY

All of this for $78. This probably won't last.

Glad, as always, that around January every year I see this thread doing what it does best - Camping deals, or, camping cheap for dummies. Hahaha.

My favorite wet wipes I take every year are doing a sale for the new year. All natural ingredients and don't leave scummy residue like a lot of others do, good for the polo field dust.

Action Wipes %20 off, so you can stock up early. Use code "FEST2015"

Not exclusively for camping, but these things saved my life two years in a row during the great dust storms:

    http://rzmask.com/shop/onsale

They have some on sale. Totally worth it when you are camping and being blown away by dust devils.

Aww they're out of stock right now.

edited: I just realized they are only out of single serving packs, but they still have the 30-wipe pack, which I just bought. I will try these this year!

I've been quietly stalking the suggestion threads and those Action Wipes are my first official Coachella purchase first timer, here. Car camping with a couple friends, hoping to get 2 spaces next to each other. I'm sure I'll get roped into sharing the wipes, but I'm going to try and convince my camp-mates to stock up as well. Thanks for the coupon code!!!!

Anybody use 2-way radios for communication?

What are your experiences with them at the festival?

Have phones not been working for you recently? I mean that seriously. The last few years it seems that we have had no problem on verizon. Maybe some slight delay at night, but time-stamping sent texts seems to get teh job done.

Yeah, phones have been rather miserable. I have Sprint, most of my friends use ATT or something. So, we all have trouble communicating. Text messages show up hours later, you can't get any internet connection, calling doesn't work well and calls get dropped. I pretty much gave up on my phone last year.

Canopy + 4 chairs! great deal since usually the canopies are about $100 alone.

For those of you who live in the socal area, Sports Chalet rents a lot of equipment.
You can find anything form a grill to a tent for very cheap.

I would only suggest against this because of how harsh Coachella can be. I would hate to rent a canopy and the wind rips it to shreds.
