All for this. Has Joy Orbison toured the US yet, last I heard is that he's afraid of flying.
Kode9 would also go down a treat. Possibly Zomby too now that he's DJing/playing Live.
Would be good to have actual great/interesting DJ's/Producers in the Sahara for once.
Also I think you'd love a dude I manage, his name is HugoFrederick (he has a real James Blake/Mount Kimbie vibe to his music) check out his tunes here before we take them all down: http://soundcloud.com/hugofrederick
James Blake is a genius, but I'm having trouble picturing how his music would translate live. Sort of like with Burial.
^ indeed. he says he plans on touring without a laptop, completely live. I can see how mount kimbie does it as they have a bit of guitar instrumentation, but Im sure he would pull off something unique.
would love to see joy orbison. mount kimbe would be pretty sweet as well.
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
great thread
Yes please.
I am neither foxy, nor a lady.

For 2011
Mount Kimbie 100000% holy shit. I've heard they're great live. Crooks and Lovers is one of my favorites from this year.
Mount Kimbie are pretty good live. James Blake did his 2nd public show last night. Here is a shitty video clip for ya.

its pretty funny that mellow dubstep is being referred to as post-dubstep, because it sounds more like old school dubstep than that dirty grimy stuff.

"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."

If the James Blake LP is as good as I've heard it is, all the more reason!!!
I would very surprised if James Blake isn't on the poster
I will be very sad if James Blake isn't on the poster. Will definitely be one of my must-see acts this year.
Despite my best attempts at self control I downloaded a leak of the LP and it's my favorite thing I've heard in months. I won't ruin it for anyone with a description, but let's just say it's not what I expected to come from him at all.

Thanks for this!
The Feist cover is good, but I was most impressed with the live performances of Wilhelms Scream and Lindisfarne. They show just how organically those songs would translate to a live performance. I was surprised that he was pulling those tones and vocoding straight out of a Prophet. The live midi drums were a nice touch, too, when they could have just used a sampler.
Seeing this with all the bass of a live outdoor system would be next-level. Fingers crossed!

Oh, and I love how he name-checks Kode 9, D'angelo, and Bon Iver. Because that's exactly what this record sounds like to me.![]()
