Thom Yorke dresses up as Daft Punk at Maroon 5 party
Radiohead frontman reportedly dons gold helmet at the Halloween bash
Thom Yorke reportedly dressed up as a member of Daft Punk at a party hosted by Maroon 5 this week.
According to a report in Entertainment Weekly, Yorke took to the decks at the Halloween party dressed in a gold helmet and get-up similar to that of the French dance duo.
Yorke hasn't confirmed the rumours – but the tuft of blonde hair poking out from underneath the helmet bears an uncanny reemblance to the Radiohead frontman.
Last night (November 1), a new track by Thom Yorke's supergroup Atoms For Peace appeared online, after its debut on Mary Anne Hobbs' XFM show yesterday (October 31).
The song, titled 'What The Eyeballs Did', is the B-side to the 12" vinyl release of debut single 'Default', which is due out on November 19 via XL Recordings – you can listen to the track above.
Thom Yorke features in the group alongside longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Red Hot Chili Pepper's Flea as well as drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
Speaking about the new supergroup, Yorke said in a statement: "You may have heard that I have a new project called Atoms For Peace. The name comes from some shows of The Eraser that happened a couple of years ago with Mauro, Joey, Nigel and Flea."
He added: "We got a big buzz from them and discovered loads of energy from transforming the music from electronic to live, and so afterwards, we carried on for a few days in the studio and decided to make it a loose, ongoing thing. Immersed in the area between the two…electronic and live."
