I completely agree with you.
I haven't watched since episode 2. Thanks for all the spoiler notices so I could post this:
EXCLUSIVE TUESDAY 5PM: I hear The Walking Dead writer/ executive producer/ director Frank Darabont has let go of the writers on the hot freshman AMC series, which has already renewed for a second season. That includes Darabont's No. 2, writing executive producer Charles “Chic” Eglee. Writer turnover on series between seasons is commonplace but wholesale overhauls are unusual. What's more, I hear Darabont is looking to forgo having a writing staff for the second season of Walking Dead altogether and assign scripts to freelancers.
Yeah, Darabont and Kirkman seem to be playing good cop/bad cop with this PR. I think they both realize this season is a bit weak and that they'll need to fresh start if they want to keep the ratings up.
I orgasmed at the last episode. I'll try to buy the rest of the comics when I can. Maaaaan sidewalk slammers......

They had the "farmer's suicide" set at Comic-Con
My kid's got issues
They also had the walking dead at Comic-Con
"Well, that's just like, you know... your opinion, man"
i need to watch the last one. this show is legit as all hell
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
Season Finale last night. Dissapointed, but on the other hand it left me wanting more so i guess mission accomplished for them. Whos got a theory on what the secret the doctor told Rick was?
I think what's more disappointing is supposedly having to wait until October 2011 to get answers. That's just not a smart move. Doesn't anyone over at the network know the average American attention span? By then, the big hit will be Skating with the Dancing Stars' Dogs.
Hmm, I rather enjoyed that episode. Based on posts here, it seems like I'm liking a different aspect of this show than the rest of you.
My favorite part of zombie apocalypse mythology is the psychological toll it must take. Most movies have gone the action/gore route, but this show is really trying to go the other way. Most of the characters are underdeveloped, but I'll excuse this for now with the short season. Looking forward to next fall!
False. I love the emotional aspect of the storyline. My favorite moments in the season lack a lot of action like Meryl's monologue on the roof top, Jim under the tree, and the Dale and Andrea conversation. The issue I have is that after the previous two episodes that were both emotional AND action packed they passed this dribble off as a season finale? In the arch of a season, I would think it a decent episode, but it in no way felt like the finale of a season.
Fair enough. And when they shot it, it was very possibly the series finale.
That whole detour was nothing but an excuse to answer questions that didn't need to be answered. The delivery on the TV show is turning out to be a bit dumbed down. Not that this is a surprise...
Emotional stuff is fine, but this show seems to think that emotional content is best delivered by just showing close ups of peoples faces.
My guess is that Rick's wife is pregnant. The scientist could have seen that when he took her blood sample, but obviously its not Rick's.
The White Stripes 9/18
I don't think I'm going to watch after this season.
"I'm not ruling out that Shane could survive the entire length of this television show. Shane could meet a girl and calm down, and we wouldn't actually get to the scene that happens in the comic. ... One thing that's very important to me is that no one comes into this television show having read the comic knowing exactly what's going to happen. We're always going to change things up and keep people guessing." -kirkman
Just watched the finale. Overall, I enjoyed season one for the most part. I think the series has potential. That being said, some of the acting was horrendous and I'm happy they fired a good bulk of the writers. Some of the dialogue made me fucking cringe.
EDIT* I wish we would have seen more of Lennie James' character(Sol from Snatch). He's acting was great. Very believable.

My guess is that he said that they're all already infected, it's in their blood, and they will become zombies regardless of how they die /spoiler
Urrgg the first episode of this show got me so excited. After that it went straight downhill, very disappointing.
Just wtached the 6th episode, and read the first compendium, which is the first 40 or so issues. I don't really like reading comics on the computer reader, but holy shit I gotta see what happens next. I have a hard time even imagining what happens SPOILER after the massacre at the prison and death of the governor.
I also have a hard time imagining a television show very faithfully adapting a lot of what will start to happen. BUT if it does it will be very unlike any television show ever made before.

Just started reading the comics... I'm hooked. Thanks again for uploading them, Kylie.
I finished the series yesterday and as a whole I really really liked it. Even the finale I thought was good.
