Let's do it.
Let's do it.
I love these but I always fuck up with the Sahara/Yuma billing. Going to do some fan fiction this year with the potential new stage/expansion. Will be fun!
For some reason I think Justice goes #2 on their day. In 2012 they were #3. I would love to see Soulwax on the lineup as well. Would fit great in the Ratatat/Underworld spot in the "new new" Sahara

If I was being picky I think he has Gotye too high and Future Islands, Bleachers, and Portugal the Man a bit too low, but again that's being picky. Overall really good billing
Yes, Justice being billed high relies on a solid third album. I think they would close outdoor no matter where they are on the second line. Was it the Knife who was billed first on the second line and closed outdoor?
Why would Gotye play?
If Justice returns, I could see them getting placed back in Sahara, especially as counter-programming to the new EDM stage. I think people are overestimating their draw in 2016/7 as most of the current generation of Coachella attendees likely has no idea who they are. They definitely peaked in 2008 and have not had any real success of note since the cross album. I'd love to be proven wrong if they come out with a great 3rd album but it seems very very unlikely to me.
Justice is totally getting a demotion the next time they play. The kids who dug Phantom Pt. II are either Yuma diehards by now or they're busy preparing for their second child.
Haha. That cracked me up because it's really true. Although I think a lot of the Yuma people you mention would come out of the dark cave for it. And hey, I'm still planning the first, not second!
hey yo mitch! learn how to embed a video eh?!?!

Justice would be lucky to be #2 at Beach Goth.

TickleMeElmo, one other thing to congratulate you on is the great fake background instead of using the three defaults. Care to share how you made it?
Also, are Sasha & Digweed reunion really only third line material? Same with James Blake?
Lastly, I really like his Gotye on the second line. There is always one name that makes you go "what the fuck are they doing up there" these days. Or several, really.
Is Gotye still an artist?
Also, if Gotye played a tent at sundown and was 5th line in 2012 during the middle of the "Somebody I Used To Know" bedlam, no way he comes back and is billed 2nd line and plays a huge main/outdoor billed spot 5 years later after doing nothing. I'm viewing "Gotye" on that poster as "placeholder for fall buzz star we don't know exists yet like Hozier/Halsey."
I am pretty sure I had James Blake second line on my fake from last year, as did Grimes.
I think these 3 reunions are actually in the works:
I do wonder if Riot might poach 2 of them.
SP might actually be a headliner at Coachella if it's tied to the lineup drop and Billy can delivery a fan friendly performance. AEG did the Oceania arena(ish) tour several years back.
Lol there is no way a reunited Pumpkins headline Coachella. Corgan has done his best to run the bands name into the ground over the years. If that played they would sub and I don't GV even has much interest in booking them.
Goddammit mitch you can't even properly quote. Get your shit together man.
Anyways, the poster background is actually just a picture of a sunset I found online, only it had a ferris wheel along the bottom so I had to keep adjusting the size until the mountains fully blocked it.
Gotye's billing is assuming he actually releases new material between now and the next Coachella. Among all the metrics I use he's still pretty popular hence his high billing. Also, keep in mind with the expanded lineup, some artists who would be at the end of a certain line now may get bumped down another line due to more artists up top, for example James Blake and Portugal. the Man. In my next edit I'll probably bump Chance over Justice and HAIM over Patti.
