They end pretty early. Like, no later than 9PM, unless the act plays a long set (which is rare). But yeah, you should show up a little earlier if you wanna make sure you get in.

A Perfect Circle is going fucking rock that fucking kimmel stage
Since Phoenix is a hot band, yeah I'd probably get there an hour early at least. I think the Kimmel show starts taping at 7, and band usually plays around 8:30? Not sure. You'll be out before 10 for sure, possibly out before 9:30 too. Usually the band plays one song for the show, a second song during the credits, and then 2 - 5 more songs (not for the show) depending on how the crowd is reacting.
Did you get the outdoor mini-concert tickets or studio taping? For outdoor mini-concert, I was there for Brandon Flowers last week, we got there around 7:20pm even though it said to get there by 6:45pm. The crowd was half full even though it was "sold out" and most of the people on the list didn't arrive yet. They didn't start taping the show until around 7:30pm (you watch it on tv screens) and kept on admitting people until right before the band goes on. You'd probably be safe getting there before 8:15pm if you don't mind being in the back.
it all depends on the show. i know the studio audience gets there way before the outdoor audience. show times change as well, tho. sometimes they shoot at 6, sometimes at 7. i guess if they're running late they can shoot at 7:30. but yeah, it depends on the band. one time i was in the studio audience and when they brought us out back for Slayer, it was PACKED and the gates were shut and there were about 100 people stuck outside demanding to be let in, but they were at capacity. but then i've also been there for bands, like miike snow recently, that were half full. but i figured since phoenix are playing there literally 2 days after a wildly successful sold out Bowl concert, that there'd be a pretty good chance it would get packed.
Yeah, I'm thinking it's going to be pack tomorrow. My ticket say Arrival Time: 6:45, but I'm going to get down there over an hour in advance. I'm going to go straight to the show and ask security people how long I have until I should get in line... I could always go get early dinner somewhere close by..
7/24 - Stevie Wonder @ Hollywood Bowl
8/6 - HARD - LA State Historic Park
9/3 - FYF @ LA State Historic Park
When I went to Devo in April, Paul and I showed up over an hour early and there was already a line. We got in and got a good spot. After about half an hour inside, waiting, we heard a large grown from the crowd outside and I could see part of the line up the street disperse. Im guessing they told everyone no one else was getting it.
Since Pheonix is far bigger than Devo... I would arrive early.
Totally! Phoenix>Devo in popularity right now.... shits gonna be packed early!

I never knew this before :This sounds like a better deal and good to know for the rainy season coming.I'm keeping my eye out for those APC tixsStudio Audience Tickets: You will see the studio portion of the show (Jimmy, guests, interviews...) and the mini-concert regardless whether it is indoors or outdoors. (age: 18+)

Studio tix are way harder to get tho. Only a couple hundred available.
I missed Phoenix tonight cause I threw out my back this morning like a fucking 80 year old man. I have studio tickets for the Modern Family cast + Band of Horses tomorrow so I better feel better or I'm gonna cry.

I have some questions for people who have been before.
How many songs do the acts usually play?
And do they give the audience free promo items? I know some tapings do and some don't.
Thanks!
