I have no idea what the name or brand is of my mattress. I just went to a store I trusted (that has an excellent return policy just in case) and tested out about 15 different options and chose my favorite. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on it, but I'm very happy with it.

I'll check my mattress tonight and let you know what it is Ron. My parents have the same mattress in their guest room and every person who sleeps over here (and people who have shared my bed) has commented that it's just about the most comfortable bed they've ever slept in. I cannot disagree.

I had to have my windshield replaced, it's through my insurance and the guy came to my office to do it. I am curious, is this a service people normally tip for? It is a convenience that he came to me, but I don't even know what the appropriate amount would be since I am not paying for the service.

So this has been annoying as fuck:

California Cell Phones Screech to Life with Statewide Amber Alert
Cell phones across California rang out with a jarring Emergency Alert System tone late Monday night as police issued the first statewide Amber Alert using FEMA's new national emergency broadcasting system for handsets.

Accompanying the screeching EAS tone was a text message that had many Californians scrambling to find out more about the town of Boulevard, where a suspected murder and kidnapping in the tiny community near the Mexican border in San Diego County took place on Sunday.

Supposedly there is a way to opt-out of the emergency alerts. Except for the Presidential alert.

    The basic gist...

How is the actual bull run structured?

The phrase ďrunning with the bullsĒ is a bit misleading. You see, bulls run 15 miles per hour, which is much faster than you. What actually happens (both in Pamplona and here), is that you arrange yourself somewhere on the quarter-mile track and wait for the bulls to come to you. When you see them approaching, you start running and try to keep up with them for as long as you can before they leave you in the dust. So donít view this event as a race or long-distance run; itís more like a series of short sprints.

Each run is organized into waves of up to 1,000 adrenaline junkies. Before each run begins, the event staff will walk the runners along the track while explaining the rules. The runners will then return to the starting gate for the opening ceremony and then arrange themselves on the track according to their desired risk level. Those runners who want to be closest to the bulls will stand near the center of the track, while those who want less risk can line up nearer the fences.

Twenty-four bulls will be released in three waves of eight, roughly 15 seconds apart, and will sprint down the track in two to three minutes. Bulls run a four-minute mile, which means you wonít be running alongside them for more than a few seconds (unless youíre an Olympic sprinter). Instead, the bulls will run through the crowd on their way to the finish. This means you need to constantly be looking behind you to make sure you move out of their way when they come through. These bulls arenít deer at a petting zoo; they WILL run you over if youíre in their way. But bulls arenít the only threat: fellow runners can also run into you, trip you or impede your progress, so avoid other runners as much as you can.

Professional bull handlers will be stationed along the course to supervise the run and medical staff will be on site in case of injuries. However, youíre solely responsible for your own safety when youíre on the track. Although The Great Bull Run involves serious risks, participants can attempt to control the amount of danger they face during the run:
ēThose who desire the most danger can stay in the middle of the track and attempt to dodge the bulls as they pass.
ēThose who want some danger but arenít crazy enough to try and dodge bulls can run along the outer edges of the track and let the bulls pass at a safe distance. If a bull does find its way to the outside of the track, there will be nooks along the way that runners can duck into to seek shelter (see the diagram to the right). However, these nooks donít offer 100% protection as there is no physical barrier between the runner and the bulls. Runners should remain aware of their surroundings at all times and climb over the track fence if necessary to avoid a bull. Note that leaving the track is a one-way trip; you wonít be allowed back in the run.
ēRunners who want the least amount of risk hould start their run in a nook and stay there as the bulls pass.

I have tried with the new/beta Google Maps but it is beyond useless. Search is entirely useless except by address. My Maps seems to be inaccessible. If they force implement this I will stop using Google Maps entirely.

    Does MapQuest still exist?
