which is bad considering many models are available in both hybrid and non.
I thought they still had a tax incentive, which was also interesting. but it appears to be only for plug-in vehicles now.

I'm probably getting a Prius for my next car. I'm holding off for the 2015 version which is rumored to get upper 50/lower 60 mpgs. Plus they are built like tanks, everything I've read is that they are extemely reliable.

Thanks for the condolescences guys. He passed away a few hours ago surrounded by his brother, his three kids, and his wife of over 50 years. I'm just thankful I got to see him when he first got admitted to the hospital and on Thanksgiving day.

California is greedy.
I am trying to sell a display case on Craigslist. Got a message from someone saying the following:
"Im interested is thr price negotiable? And what time would be good"
"I could be flexible on price but I wouldn't want to go too much lower. I should be back downtown around 5pm tomorrow. My phone number is xxx xxx xxxx. Texts work really well for me!"
Her response again:
"Can I get a contact number?"

It's strange how a simple purchase through craigslist becomes 12 emails.
In cities I wonder if everyone is as gossipy and in-your-business as they are in small towns? Like if you had sex with a random person, in a small town everyone knows about it, whereas in the city, noone really knows or gives a shit.
Of course. The more people there are the more likely the random hook up has no mutual friends or acquaintances.

today is going to fucking drag, I know it.
How many of you dog owners out there allow your pets on the furniture? I grew up with dogs - big dogs, german shepherd/collie mixes - and they were never allowed on beds, couches, chairs, etc. And I've never allowed a dog up on the furniture in any place I've lived. But everyone I know now allows their pets to do this at home and worse yet, everywhere else they take them. I have family coming over on xmas that are bringing their dogs - which I don't mind - but I've explicitly said no dogs on couch and asked them to bring their doggie beds so they'll have somewhere comfy to lie down. I think that's perfectly reasonable, but I sense it may still be a problem, come the day.
I kinda feel like you inviting your dog up next to you onto my couch is comparable to a parent letting their kid jump up and down on my couch, neither of which is acceptable.
One dog has been here before; the other hasn't. The two are buddies, so at the very least I don't anticipate any issues between them. But they're both so used to being up on things, and their humans letting them, that it's bound to happen. I do want everyone to always feel welcome in my home, but I do expect my rules to be obeyed.
My dog has her own spot on the couch where it bends so no one really likes to sit there anyways. She knows not to sit anywhere else on the couch and when she goes places she knows not to jump on other peoples furniture unless given permission. Everyone in my family has dogs so on holidays we bring her to my cousins along with everyone else's dogs and they have a couch that is just for dogs to sit on. It's very convenient and if you don't mind dog hair it's a nice place to cuddle with a bunch of dogs.
Never Knows Best.
And that's a brand new (old) sofa for you, HtD. You have every right to protect it, and your guests should respect your rules.

the floor, or outside. your call. and I fucking LOVE dogs.
I received an invitation to RedHotSgtPeppers wedding yesterday. Even though he knows I can't make it to OK for the ceremony it was a sweet gesture to receive the invite in the mail. Congrats Logan!!! If I win the lottery I'll come crash the reception.
I need to get an elevator from the ground to my couch so Keeto can come up whenever he wants
So last night I discovered from just browsing on the interwebz that a good friend of mine older brother was arrested for attempted murder in November. Well actually I'm not 100% sure it was him as they only said his full name and didn't have a picture and I have no idea what his middle name is. However the description describes him perfectly and I would not be surprised at all for him to do something like that as he has has previous issues in the past so I am 95% sure it's him. Since my friend never told me nor am I aware that he told anyone else is this something I should ask my friend about or even mention to other friends?
^I was not aware of this. I told someone to fuck-off/don't come/don't gift when it was brought up.
Why do you need to know? And not being sure, why spread gossip/rumors?
Just found out Alien Workshop has a line with Keith Haring art on it. Now I own some.
