^I'd think GV would be more interested in getting Mr. Heavenly than Man Man at this point. Especially with Superbad on bass.
Ron Paul 2012!
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra

Coconut Records would be cool. I saw Mister Heavenly open for Passion Pit... HUGE MEH.

"Well, that's just like, you know... your opinion, man"

this blog is saying thermals and yacht are playing.
The White Stripes 9/18
Sweet! I love the Thermals.
haaahaaahaaaaaaaaa what a stupid bitch.
Monklish @anon418 You and several others are making the assumption that I am holding back on a deluge of information. The answer to every question is usually: 'I do not know', 'I have not heard anything', or 'They are probably not playing.' I am mostly doing my updates in real time. I wait until there are at least 4 decent new names to include on the list. Every year my accuracy has increased because I have increased my efforts to sift the bad and good information. Based on tips sent to my email and "in the know" comments on here and other websites, Coachella will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Rolling Stones, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Neil Young, Radiohead, Portishead, David Bowie, The Who, Queens of the Stone Age, REM, Kanye West, etc...
Several bands that I believe are playing do not end up at the festival. I tend to believe the sources that gave me bad info less than I did the year prior. It is factually correct to say that there is no other source prior to the lineup announcement that has had a higher percentage of the final lineup than my blog. Anyone can name 200 bands and come away with 80% of the lineup.
Sorry that I am not expanding on list. I am not sure what further insight that you want into the names that are on the there already.
As for my responses being pointless. The fake poster was wrong. It was my list with some filler and guesses thrown in. I am sure that it will be decently correct outside of the headliners. That was probably the third time that someone asked about that poster, so I was dealing it. All posters always fake. People should start posting fake documents and spreadsheets. It would be more believable. As for Crappy comment 1: I do not usually respond to the whiners, but there was a large hypocrisy and error in their complaint. We are further along this year than we were last year.
Talked to daedelus at a show recently, and he said that he will be playing in a tent this year...
did you see that she put Rolling Stones up in her update? Just bringing it up to stir the pot.
The White Stripes 9/18
I predict Monklish's accuracy will be way less than 80% this year.
2/12/: The Budos Band @ The New Parish
2/12: Sunset @ Mighty
2/14: Robag Whrume @ PW
2/25: The Dead Ships @ Bender's
2/25: Kamsai Washington @ The Independent
2/25: Julien Baker @ Bottom of the Hill
3/3: Lower Dens @ The Independent
3/12: David Crosby @ The Aladdin Theater
3/18: Blanck Mass @ The Rickshaw Stop
3/23: Quilt @ The Independent
3/27: Joanna Newsom @ The Fox Theater
4/1: Ben Klock, DVS1 @ PW
4/13: Underworld @ Fox Theater Pomona
It all makes sense now. Monklish is a girl (supposedly), as are all of the forumers attacking her.
Baised on the rumors:
Friday: Beastie Boys/Chemical Brothers
Cold War Kids
Broken Social Scene
Eric Morillo, Harry Romero, and Jose Nunez
Saturday: Kanye West/Daft Punk
Always Sunny in Philidelphia
Sunday: The Rolling Stones/Arcade Fire
Marina and the Diamonds
The Morning Benders
2001 ~ 2007 ~ 2010 ~ 2011 ~ 2012
I don't feel like I should need to keep justifying my position by continually pointing out her inaccuracy rating and her ability to get you fanboys pumped up every year, only to be let down. You boys have short memories, I get it. If you want to keep sucking the 76% milk out of her tits, be my guest. I won't even say "told you so" when three or four of those big acts just aren't there.
