Where the hell is central field?
Saturday looks nice. I would go if I still lived in that crappy city.
For your health
My geology teacher is friends with the brother of a dude in the fruit bats...
Useless trivia!
This is nice. I would go to this. Alejandro Escovedo a big plus.
Don't understand ignoring The Dive Poets though, they're probably St Louis' best band right now.
I FOUND SOMETHING TO DO IN MISSOURI.
i lived in St. Louis for a few years... hope i never have to go back
every day, every year
2011 Lineup named. Big improvement from last year, i feel:
www.loufest.com
THE ROOTS + TV ON THE RADIO
CAT POWER + DEERHUNTER + !!!
THE HOLD STEADY + SURFER BLOOD
DOM + DAS RACIST + THE LOW ANTHEM + KINGS GO FORTH
LOST IN THE TREES + UME + SLEEPY SUN + TROUBADOUR DALI
JUMBLING TOWERS + OLD LIGHTS + JON HARDY & THE PUBLIC
I somehow missed this thread last year.
I am very impressed with the improvement of the lineup this year. It's way more diverse.
I had a ton of fun last year - it was well run and it was overall a good vibe. I would recommend it to those of you that it is convenient for.
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

A better lineup than last year's, and a pretty good bargain too.
(didn't go last year, probably won't go this year)
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
I'd totally go to that, if I still lived in St. Louis. TV on the Radio and The Roots alone - definitely worth my time and pesos.
so, yeah, of the three people in Missouri here, any of you going this weekend? I will be there. For me, !!!, Hold Steady, Deerhunter and TVOTR are fantastic draws. Not to mention Kings Go Forth, Dom and Surfer Blood and a couple friends in local bands that are playing, too.

if only because WSB was born and alienated in St. Louis. And MJA lives there.

Wow, I use live right there on Forest Park/debaliviere and never heard of this fest. I did go to the KSHE rib fest, once.

What a disappointment. I'm sure the FLips and Girl Talk will pull in a crowd, but I was hoping for Modest Mouse or some other mid-level band that doesn't play every festival. Dino Jr is cool though.

Agreed... I was hoping for better, because last year was pretty fun. Dino Jr is probably what I'm looking forward to most at this point. I can't believe they are on the same line as Phantogram and listed below Girl Talk.
2/21 - Skinny Puppy
5/23-25 - Summer Camp
7/18-20 - Pitchfork Music Festival
8/1-3 - Lollapalooza
So this is happening this weekend. The Bro-down begins. I have been getting excited. Dino Jr, Flips, Phantogram, Dr. Dog, Little Barrie and Cotton Mather should be good. And Girl Talk will bring the dancing and drinking and whatnot. Son Volt is a solid, if unexciting, live act. Cults.

Cults are just OK live.
There is a slim chance I might be there tomorrow.

Is Phantogram any good live? I really like their albums, but could see them not so great live.
