What's it like? I know the beer is pricey, but are the lines chaotic? And can you only drink in the garden?

Lines are normally not too bad, but yes you have to stay in the over 21 areas with your drinks
the first thing you should do when you hit the fields is get a 21+ wristband and avoid the lines later on.
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."
Lines are never bad and yes you have to drink inside the beer garden. It sounds shitty but it's not a big deal at all. In fact after going for the last few years I'm glad they do it like that.
And like dontfeedthebird said, get your beer garden wrist band and wear it all weekend. Otherwise you'll have to wait in line again to get another wristband.
If we're lucky something will happen. Some adversity will happen and something unexpected will happen and you'll get tired and you'll get hungry, you'll have trouble going to the bathroom, and you'll lose your car keys, and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now we'll say "We lived, we lived." - Wayne Coyne on Coachella
yep
The lines aren't bad but the tents can get crowded in the middle of the day, the shady area's in particular.
IF anybody sees me in the beer garden and says "hey you're tom from the message board, I'm ______" I will buy you a beer. Unless I don't like you.
I'd love to take advantage of your proposal, but I don't know what you look like. Guess I'll just have to ask everybody that.
