After walking/dancing 12 hours each day, you won't want to walk another 5 miles..
You make valid points good sirs. I guess I'll look around for a cab company...
I have hitchhiked and cabbed, both are good options! I've been dreaming of the day that there is a Lake Cahuilla to Coachella shuttle.
i camped at cahuilla last year, having camped onsite every year prior. it was a wonderful experience, but do keep in mind that it is certainly not walking distance. and I walk a lot, but still that would have been a bitch to do all three days. and the driving/parking situation was sort of a pain in the ass. also there were f-ing bugs everywhere in the free-for-all camping areas (I know, it is camping, but still it got to be rather annoying).
a shuttle would be incredible and make things so much easier. overall, cahuilla is pretty awesome and for the price I think the best alternative to onsite camping/ springing for a hotel room somewhere.
How's Thursday nights before the festie gets started? Is noise an issue? From what I've read it hasn't been. Reason I ask, is we we're thinking of shipping out some of our DJ equipment out to L.A. and settin it up in our RV, and throwing a little shindig....
Thats fuckin great! This three day festival just turned into a 4 day festival. Well your all welcome to come over to our RV's. Will be flying tha Chitown Flag high, and bumpin House all night long. I'm thinkin of just pickin up a keg on the way in just for Thursday...I swear, this wait is killing me....
I opted for Shadow Hills...anyone else ending up there. I am finally hijacking my parent's 40' RV for some an adventure. I have to drive it down from Reno though
Whoo! second year staying here! Lake Cahuilla is the place to be! Already got my spot!
Now I am having second thoughts about walking from lake cahuilla. What would be the best way to get to the festival if all I have is my RV?
Hey I found someone on Facebook who says she owns a cab company in the area and will be running cabs through that area if your interested. That how we plan on getting back and forth...
send me a link firstname.lastname@example.org
thanks, I thought I would be able to walk it but from reading the threads I doubt i would be in the mood to. First time camping offsite.
we just got our sites! looks like 2 sites with hookups are left and 3 developed sites with no hookups! better move fast, once the lineup is announced people will be scrambling!
the developed sites, is that just for tent camping? someone from work told me it was just rv camping here.
the developed sites are for anyone! there are hookups in case you have an RV, we usually don't so its nice to have the water faucet and the electrical outlets. We bring extension cords and power strips t charge phones, cameras, pump up air mattresses, plug in fans etc. Its so fun, and a real shower
Its for both. We usually got 2 cars, a couple canopies, and some tents in one of the developed spots.
Doggie, you on Facebook?
This is my favorite part about Thursday night Lake Cahuilla camping.
UPDATE: Lake Cahuilla is full! I just checked. Except for 1 spot in the Equestrian area. Hurry if you want it!!
