They went out on top. It ended just as abruptly as it began. They've accomplished their mission and will be considered legends.

Legendary assholes.
I fucking love Trent Reznor, "sorry everyone… why would I have ever thought those dudes could keep it together?"
This sucks. They were one of my favorite bands to come out in the past few years. But fuck all this scheduling live dates and then cancelling them shit.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
Publicity stunt.
Coachella reunion 2015. They will project a brand new letter.
That weirdest part of this all, is over the years I have had several friends meet Zack Hill, some while playing with Death Grips and other while he was playing with his multitude of other projects, and they have all only had the nicest things to say about the guy. So, I find it strange he is ok with the way Death Grips treat their fans.
I genuinely find it hilarious that so many of you are taking this Death Grips breakup announcement as some kind of personal affront. They don't owe "their fans" a goddamn thing. They're a band who makes music and plays shows, and they decided it's now done and over. If they make the decision to come back (again) at some point in the future, great; if not, oh well because it's their band and breaking up is their decision to make. Did you guys honestly think this band would end any other way than abruptly?
But their upcoming shows are either as an opener or as part of a festival; I doubt many (if any) people bought an NIN ticket or FFF/FYF pass just because of Death Grips. And even if these dates had been solo, headlining shows, if they refund the money I don't see what else the problem is beyond being disappointed that you can't see a band you like. It's not like they just said "Yeah, we don't feel like playing these shows anymore" and then kept the money and ran.

Exactly. One time I saw them, they sucked so much......it was unreal. MC Ride had backing vocals and handful of times he fell behind his backing vox.....the only good thing about this band was Zack Hill.
death grips = fake rap for white people aka nathanfairchild (he hates rap in general but cares about this? yea, ok bro!)
Wait is it Zack Hill or Zach Hill? Hella!!!

It is appropriate, however, that a discussion of Death Grips' demise has invariably lead to a round of stupid trolling and recriminations.
All go unto one place; all are of the derp, and all turn to derp again.
U-Tah-Tell 'em, Mitch!

You're the one that brought me up for no reason you dumb motherfucker. And I've never been shy about what I like. Unlike you I don't listen to music for the approval of others. Perhaps you should just stay in the mmml tech thread and keep talking to yourself since literally no one on this site wants anything to do with you. Just kill yourself already.ps I'll stop caring about you once you stop responding to my post, bro! Hey, did you see that your girl, Lily Allen, is going on tour with Miley Cyrus?! You must be thrilled![]()
