What is Bon Jovi without one of their main components Richie Sambora?
If a fuck is given in Jersey where no one will hear it, does it make a sound?
DREAM BIGGER
Please tell me Bon Jovi is rotted from within. Did you guys know they don't acknowledge their bass player for about 30 years? Like, he's been a member that long, but because he's not pretty he's rarely credited and isn't included in band photos? Fuck Bon Jovi.
This is embarrassing to admit, but as many times as I've heard them, I have never grown tired of 'Livin on a Prayer' or 'You Give Love A Bad Name'.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
Everyone loves those fucking songs.
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
Jesus I just read that dudes wiki page. I guess he doesn't mind being shit on for multiple decades.

Great news. This band meant a lot to me in high school and college.

Fripp writes: ”This is a very different reformation to what has gone before: seven players, four English and three American, with three drummers. The Seven-Headed Beast of Crim is in Go! mode.”
Yay!

1) Wish Belew was involved in this incarnation, but will probably be cool regardless...
http://www.dgmlive.com/news.htm?entry=4335The 8th incarnation of King Crimson will be Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Mel Collins, Jakko Jakszyk and Robert Fripp.
Writing on his (not yet published) dairy for September 24th Fripp notes "The Point Of Crim-Seeing was of a conventional Back Line – Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin and Pat Matstelotto - reconfigured as the Front Line, with Mel Collins, Jakko Jakszyk and myself as Back Line."
Robert goes on "All the Crims have expressed great excitement at the return to Go! mode. Given the considerable commitments of all members, it will take a year before Crimson is able to perform."
Bill Rieflin mentioned to me that he told Jacknife Lee (REM and Robbie Williams’ producer) of the triple drumming, and Jacknife’s reply: Of course. We know what two drummers sound like! I’m hoping we’ll find out, and have a pile of fun doing so."
In his (not yet published) diary for September 7th Fripp begins "dear brother crims, we have one year to prepare for action of the savage variety, and be in Go! mode for september 2014… but essentially, King Crimson is in motion."
Robert expects that they’ll be rehearsing, in full and small group formations over that period.
2) Slowdive!!!
http://www.creation-records.com/slow...r-london-gigs/Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell of Slowdive will be reuniting for two special gigs in London later this month.
They will perform together for the first time in almost 10 years at London’s Cecil Sharp House on 23rd and 24th October, tickets are on sale now by clicking here. Rachel will be one of the long-promised “very special guests” at both shows which will see Neil performing songs from across his back catalogue both solo and with a full band. Both shows will also be recorded for a future live album.
Neil Halstead has also been busy with his new band Black Hearted Brother. The band is a collaboration with Mark Van Hoen (Seefeel) and Nick Holton. Van Hoen co-produced several Mojave 3 albums, while Holton worked with Halstead on his solo albums Sleeping On Roads and Palindrome Hunches. Van Hoen and Halstead go back much further still, to 1992, when they were in Seefeel and Slowdive respectively: ‘Mark taught Neil much that was electronic and ambient music.’
3) Kinks? Maybe?
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...50-50-20130925Now that his solo shows were successful, promoters are salivating over the idea of a Kinks 50th anniversary tour. "I'd say the odds of that happening are 50/50," says Dave. "The ball is very much in Ray's court. We used to play tennis, and when I was beating him he'd always develop a strategy. Basically, when I was winning he'd be like, 'Oh, I hurt my back!' I'd sort of back off, and then he'd get aggressive again. Then I'd get real angry. He'd smile, and it was really like the Emperor in Star Wars testing Luke's character. When he got Luke angry, the Emperor would be like 'Yes! I've got you!'"
No actual details yet, But a Failure Facebook profile was launched October first, there has been a status update reading"it's on!" and this is the cover image as of a few hours ago:

Also, go see Autolux if you are in the OC area - fairly rare and almost always on point.
