Surprisingly The Irenic isn't that bad for an all ages venue, think I've seen La Sera and Titus Andronicus there before. The sound system is actually pretty good and they serve beer and wine. Only weird part for me is that it's in a church.

It looks like they have to wait a bit, presumably due to FYF's lineup announcement next week. They posted this on FB yesterday after people were asking why the tickets weren't on sale:

Loose lips sink ships. Sometimes we announce a show and then the band gets booked for a big event and then we're not allowed to talk about our show anymore until the big show is sold out. We can only speak vaguely here, but if you saw a show announced that you were really excited about and then it disappeared, all I can tell you is that it will still happen, we'll announce it properly, and we'll let you all know when it goes onsale. In the meantime, this is an interesting article about what is known as the "radius clause".

The Irenic is a fine venue. Was just there for Kishi Bashi (and of Montreal a few months back). Sound is fine. There is a slight slant down from back to front so it's easier to see the stage. There are worse venues in SD ... soma, soda, viejas arena, rimac, etc.
And $5 beers -- usually a Stone on draft and Stella (bottle).

Personally I like Soda bar better than irenic but the view lines are better at irenic. I'll give it that.

I saw Dan Deacon at the Irenic awhile back and thought it was a fine venue. Worst part was it took forever to find a parking space. Here's a video I shot that gives you some feel for the place.

Looks like Weezer and Counting Crows will be part of the Del Mar Summer Concerts. Not sure if they meant to make this page public since the full schedule is due out in early June

btw ... i've never had a problem getting into a sold out show at the Casbah. Just show up before the opener and you'll find at least one person with an extra. be patient and ask nicely. even got comped once by the opener.
