I went to the adult swim booth right when comic con started and they made us wait in line for tickets then said they were not giving away tickets and to follow AS twitter. No tweets and obscurly found the ice cream truck tweet. Went there at 1 and the dude said the only way to get an invite is to find a big black dude with dreads on the streets wearing a "find me t-shirt"... They are making it nearly impossible to go to this show.
Went to the FlyLo show last night. Getting tickets was easy, you just needed to passcode from the Adult Swim booth (or anyone who already got a ticket at the ice cream truck) and you could get them with the ice cream. Was able to get two.
Fly Lo was pretty cool, played for about 2 hours.
oh and they give you 3 drink tickets too. cool party.
Girl Talk/Dan Deacon party was great. Definitely the best party of Comic Con that night. No real celebs there since Cowboys and Aliens World Premiere was going on. But, just a bunch of people really into it. Such a small place to see Girl Talk yet they still brought all the confetti and toilet paper streamer dudes. Plus Open Bar all night is always appreciated.
Oh that's a great booking. This will probably be free or $5 before 10:30 w/RSVP. The crowd probably won't be as shitty as the weekends and maybe not even too crowded. I'd definitely go if I were in town.

All concerts will be held in a new venue, the Seaside Stage. The improved venue offers better sight lines, the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop and better access to concert-goer services and amenities.
the new stage set up is cool, sound is good, plenty of room to move up/around. the stage is angled sort of north-westerly-ish, so I doubt setting sun in your eyes (as mentioned by Wes) would be a factor. when I was there on Friday the marine layer was in full effect so sun wasn't a problem. security is pretty lax, no one checked my bag to get into the races or the concert venue area. lots of people with professional camera equipment. security did make smokers put out their cigs (no smoking once you go into the venue). for Friday concerts, anyone under 18 has to be accompanied by an adult and for Saturday concerts it's 18 and up only - I didn't see anyone getting their ID's checked.
