Ha, i'm considering Cut Copy now but I may just go home and sleep. We'll see!
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.

I'm sure everybody's already aware, but in case you're not, Janelle Monae is now playing the Marquee on 1/11. Saturday night show in a bigger venue. Still think it'll sell out? Oh, and all tickets from the Crescent show will be honored.
I know it is a long-shot, but I'm looking for 1 or 2 tickets to Chance the Rapper on the 19th. I can't find anything that says it is sold out, but I also can't seem to buy any online.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
Janelle Monae tix purchased. Awesome.
northside groove...southside groove....eastside groove...westside groove
I have a ticket for this. I might be down for some sort of gathering prior. I'm assuming one of the Westgate hangouts would be easiest. I can probably get there around 6:30 or so.
I just read a tiny review of the Dallas show. Apparently St. Vincent joined on stage for "Keep on Rockin' the Free World". They also have been doing 3 hour sets so get ready. I'm guessing prompt 8pm start? Is there an opener?
I'm in Section 109 Row D and for once i'm happy to sit especially if it's a long show.
Sure, we can try that. Did I mention how happy I was to be able to sit down like a grandpa at this one? Dancing and rocking out in GA for the last 3 NIN shows has been exhausting.
Confirmed as of now no opener and a 3 hour set with 30-35 songs each night. Recent shows had Pearl Jam hitting the stage between 8:20-8:30.
The Wishlist Foundation is having their preparty at McFadden's. Get a wristband at the door and $1 from each item you order will go the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They'll also be doing a fundraiser raffle with a bunch of different prizes. Some PJ stuff and some random stuff. I think a pair of loge seats for the ASU/UA football game is one of the prizes. I'll be in the GA line, but just thought I'd throw that out there for you guys. Preparty starts at 3 p.m.
Also, just a heads up that Jobing.com Arena no longer has free parking. I think most lots are $15 for concerts, but you might be able to find a spot at one of the Westgate lots and park for free. Parking map: http://www.jobingarena.com/parking_map.aspx

Liquid Sol Music festival is proud to announce that Blind Melon, BoDeans, Buckcherry, Cracker, Ed Kowalczyk, Everclear, Fuel, Gin Blossoms, The White Buffalo, Tonic and Vertical Horizon will perform at the inaugural Liquid Sol Music Festival. It will be held at Sportsman Park outside of U of P stadium.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
I would watch Cracker. If I was forced to endure anything else it would be the curiosity factor in Blind Melon and maybe Tonic for one song or something.
Does Ed Kowalczyk do a set of Live songs or has he actually recorded solo shit? It's so weird how this was originally billed as a 3 day multi-genre music fest and it ended up being a one day mid 90s flashback. Are ticket prices cheap? I am almost curious enough to attend.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
I think they are having an early sale right now for like $60. Still about $45 overpriced.
How was Pearl Jam?
Fresh off his "JUICY AUSTRALIA TOUR"
I loved it. First time seeing them since 1995 at Soldier Field and I thought they were great. The show played like a celebration. Eddie acknowledged this being the first gig in Phoenix in a decade and cracked open bottles of wine. It was very festive all night. The band had great energy and rocked through classics and it seemed like most of the crowd already knew all the new material. 3 hours of great music. Some highlights for me.
Encore 2: Elderly Women into Spin the Black Circle into Alive into Keep on Rockin' the Free World
Once, Go, Release and Evenflow were also fantastic. He was pouring wine for folks in the front during a few songs. I had a killer seat. Section 109 Row D so I saw everything very well. 35 songs in total.

HAHAHAHAHAA
They went from aspirations of a 3-day Coachella-like festival in a setting that already throws a three-day country festival to having it become a one-day reunion of terrible late-90's doucherock at the University of Phoenix Stadium lawn. Awful, just fucking awful.
