Ha, i was there too. I left after he was done. Did you think the guitarist was a bit of an ass? I was probably reading into things but he came off as an ass to me like he didn't respect Ezra. lol. Great show though. Ezra fascinates me. He sent me a facebook message yesterday asking me if I was coming to the show. Then he asked if I wanted to go to San Diego and Los Angeles which I found odd since last night was the last night of the tour. I told him it was too last minute and since he never got back to me about needing a ride to SD a couple of months ago I already made plans.
I took a video of Take off Your Sunglasses. Came out pretty good for being on my shitty dying Droid 3.
I figured the guitarist was just generally disaffected, nothing aimed at Ezra. And it fit with the whole vibe. Yeah, Ezra is a character for sure. Maybe he just wanted to go to the beach with ya. Thanks for the video. I was probably at the table to your right.
It really went downhill. I thought they were heading toward Coachella type acts, but that direction has been reversed.
They changed the types of artists they booked for the fest last year and had the most successful event yet. So what do they do? Go back booking the same types of artists that led them to unsuccessful events.
The guy who runs the festival has to be a jam band junkie.
