Oh Tycho. I need to buy a ticket.
I'm going to DM. And probably Phosphorescent at the Crescent a week from this Saturday.
New Times "Best of".
What's right? What's wrong?
I opened that link over the weekend to respond and never bothered looking at the page. :-/
Savages tonight. Is anyone else going? I don't believe it's sold out, so if you're on the fence, you owe it to yourself to pull the trigger. They were one of my top 5 favorite acts at Coachella.
I would but I have to give a speech in Public Speaking tonight and i'm getting over some virus. Meh. Enjoy, i'm sure it will be great.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more interested in hearing a detailed account of some fan potentially ruining the night for you, and Rick than I am of the show itself.

I don't know how many of you have heard of Ezra Furman but he has a new album coming out Tuesday. He used to have a band Ezra Furman and the Harpoons but they broke up. I saw him while I was in Vienna a couple of years ago and became a fan instantly with zero familiarity with his music prior to that. Anyway on Facebook yesterday I asked him to come play Phoenix. That resulted in him asking me to book a show for him. He seems to be so independent he doesn't have a full time booking manager. I've contacted the two small venues I know, the Rhythm Room and Trunk Space. I'm waiting to hear back. We're looking at Sat. Nov. 26th. Rhythm Room has an early show so i'm inquiring about a late show. Does anyone have suggestions on other smaller sized venues here in Phoenix?
For those not familiar, this song might be his biggest hit to date.
I love Take Off Your Sunglasses. And How Long, Diana? is so good, too. I missed him the only other time I remember him coming to Phoenix.
Rhythm Room makes sense. Would Yucca Tap be too small? New Last Exit (haven't been yet)?
Isn't Nov 26 a Tuesday? Or do you mean Saturday, Oct 26.
Sorry, Saturday Nov. 23rd. Yucca is a good idea too. I have contacts there.

alright, jen's in. where do we want to meet-up? i always say arrogant butcher, but i know it's a bit pricey and hard to get a table. it's close though. any other suggestions? is it doors at 8pm or show at 8pm, i don't have a copy of the ticket.
i can't remember if i've been to tilted kilt. my friend also owns squid ink. i'd be ok with copper blues if we knew there would be no cover band singing horrible renditions of gimme shelter.
