Hey folks, I'm staying in San Fransisco for a couple days and going to the candlestick for macca on Thursday. Any advice on going to the stadium? We are staying by Haight/Fillmore... Any specifics would be awesome. I've taken BART before, never MUNI I don't think, but open to that. Or maybe candlestick runs something specific? Thanks so much.

Parking in the lot runs $40 I believe and I do NOT advise parking on the side streets. Because Hunter's Point.
I actually graduated from college on this field, so it'll be a nice bookend of sorts to be able to pay one last tribute to the 'stick attending this as well.
I'm coming in from out of town for Macca as well. I'll be staying in Berkeley and don't trust myself enough to make the BART back in time so I plan on driving into the city. My question is would it be best to park at Embarcadero Station and take the LRV shuttle to the 87 shuttle or should I just park at Gilman & 3rd and jump on the 87 shuttle? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
I have a friend who has two tickets available in Sec UB17 for Paul McCartney tomorrow evening. He's looking to get face for them, $100 each. PM me!
Edit: SOLD

Just don't leave anything valuable in your car.
Still debating actually driving in and parking in the lots or doing the MUNI thing from Embarcadero. I work near the Ferry Building so I could just stash my car in our lot and attempt the MUNI to 3rd/ Gilman then switching to the Express.
Shaker you think MUNI will be that bad after? Might just car it down there if so.

They're Aussies and this is their first Bay Area appearance. Bummed it's the same night as I'm going to PHISH.

For JT/JZ I took a Lyft to 3rd and Gilman then just walked into the park and took Muni to BART after the show. It was pretty easy, there were 10-15 buses waiting for people to jump on immediately after the show and had a separate bus exit so you weren't stuck in traffic.
Aziz Ansari doing shows this Friday/Saturday/Sunday - it's a lottery for tickets, 2 tickets max @ $20 each. http://popup.azizansari.com/

Might drive-in cause it doesn't sound like a pain leaving if you park by exits, thanks! Although the price for parking might be a little extravagant, meh, we'll see how it goes.
Some newly released tickets for Paul McCartney are up on ticketmaster
Ticketmaster has had some available for a while now, but they are mostly limited or no-view seats.
edit: looks like you're right & there are more available... I just pulled up $259 seats as well as $69 limited side view seats...

Thanks all for the parking/shuttle info! And hoping I get picked for one of the Aziz shows tomorrow while I'm still in town!
I keep pulling up tickets that say "PLEASE NOTE: NO VIEW", I've seen limited view plenty of times but this is the first time I've seen no view.

Turns out the shuttle from Balboa Park was a disaster. Everyone ended up getting out and walking. Worst traffic I have ever seen getting to a concert.
Kinda glad there won't be any more candlestick park events.
I took it yesterday and it worked pretty good for us. But we got in the line to the Stick at 6:00 and were one of the first people out the door right as the show was ending. I think if we waited even 5 minutes later to leave we would have been stuck in an extra hour's worth of clusterfuck on the way out.
But yeah, good riddance to The Stick. That place sucks.
I really hope they end up building the new Warriors stadium in SF, because we need a true arena concert venue in the city. (Yes, I know that a basketball arena would have been too small for the show last night but for all the other shows that end up in the Sharks arena in San Jose or at the Oracle dome would be coming to SF).
Also, the show last night was pretty amazing.
(trying not to sound cynical) did he do anything special (relative to other nights of this tour/OSL set last year) other than including Long Tall Sally in the final encore?
I figured maybe he'd bring out Ringo, but his current drummer is wayyyy better so that would've been only for the spectacle
Very close replica to his OSL show
Osl got Magical Mystery Tour, Get Back, Helter Skelter and other wings songs like Juniors Farm.
Candlestick got All My Loving, I Saw Her Standing There, Long Tall Sally, and songs from his new album New.
Great shows. He's the best.
