I'm just antsy as fuck for the Red Wedding.
And I'm kind of bummed they went right to Littlefinger smuggling Sansa out of King's Landing instead of using Ser Dontos as the catspaw. Littlefinger is supposed to be a behind-the-scenes string-puller, not someone who comes right out and says HEY GIRL I MIGHT GET YOU OUT OF HERE.
Also, I got a semi-chub when I saw Drogon doing his thing...

I have read the books, but don't act like a cunt towards people who haven't. You posted more stuff that happens on the previous page as well. What is your problem?
God damnit, Chris.
Fair enough. However (spoilers ASOS)---> the red wedding is considered the shocker moment of ASOS and probably the entire series so far. For people to reference it like that tips people off that something big is going to happen and dulls the impact of the suprise. Other things that happen in the book were mentioned on the previous page as well. People in the past have gotten way too loose with spoilery book discussion here.
But I apologize to Miscorrections for accusing her of 'cuntlike behavior' which I admit was a bit much.
there just needs to be less butthurt on this board. if you can't figure out how to avoid spoilers then avoid the thread
Yeah, thats why I said that calling it by it's name was a debatable spoiler...but yeah...being that it is the biggest shocker event....I guess calling it out by its name outright is pretty risky. I just know that if I hadn't read the books, I'd probably stay the hell away from this thread...and the more I think about it, another thread for the books only sounds like a fantastic idea.
Reddit handles this pretty well. They have r/gameofthrones for TV viewers and r/asoiaf for book discussion. ASOIAF still marks nearly every post "Spoilers All Books".
I'm not sure if a second thread would work here as well. As long as people white-text it should probably be okay, although people slip up and accidentally mouse over spoilers all the time.
I think there should probably be a thread for the books and one for the TV. I already read one spoiler after Season 2, because I figured everything would be OK to read at that point... however, I was quite wrong. Now I am just waiting for this one event to happen just so I don't have to keep waiting for it.
Anyways, I think there are a lot of people who either post/ read this thread that haven't read the books. So, considering this thread was started about the HBO show, it should continue to be about the show and not the discussion of the books.
I love reading spoilers though and don't want to have to read a different thread for differences between the books and the show
Discussing characters in the show and the books would generally imply discussing character arcs, which would be considered spoiler-y I'm sure. Although last season and this first episode made clear that the show and the books are not going to be the same.
