you never know. GV must know his reputation, we'll see if their money and the prestige of a coachella show can have him show up. Gil Scott-Heron kicked the drugs and is making records again, anything can happen.

Aphex showed up in 08, so it can happen
Ron Paul 2012!
Upcoming Shows:
Four Tet
Coachella 4/20-4/22
Death Cab for Cutie/Magik Magik Orchestra
Radiohead
some other bands
i think Aphex Twin generally will make good on a show booking though, whereas sly & the family stone actually booked a tour a couple years ago only to cancel the whole thing, and he hasn't really done a proper concert in decades. will be interesting to see
he's going to smoke crack onstage

Okay. So I was stoked to see them on the poster, too. And I tried to block out his awkward Grammy performance from a couple years back. But now I found this and I'm worried again. Please let him show up and actually perform with the band for a whole set!

This is a pretty hilarious article, BTW. Kinda takes the sting out of the negative possibilities lurking.
Does showing up for 3 songs sans Family count under "Yes, but he will be bad?"
I'd possibly give some vital organ to see a full show as it was originally billed, but the history here doesn't lie. I just hope I don't miss something good while I'm standing around pissed waiting for him to show or not. If he's there consistently for the hour, I'd skip Sir Paul rimjobbing the plastic, recycled remains of Michael Jackson for this.
The Replacements - OutKast - The Knife - HAIM - Bonobo - Afghan Whigs - The Glitch Mob - The Cult - Shlohmo - Waxahatchee - Wye Oak
Queens of the Stone Age - Pharrell Williams - Pet Shop Boys - Empire of the Sun - Fatboy Slim - Nas - Kid Cudi - Warpaint - Mogwai - Foxygen - The Dismemberment Plan - Blood Orange
Arcade Fire - Beck - Neutral Milk Hotel - Disclosure - Motorhead - Duck Sauce - Little Dragon - Toy Dolls - Fishbone - Superchunk - Daughter - Surfer Blood
Looks like Sly will show up while the Family Stone dropped out.
Apparently he's been getting better lately, but you never know...
I wonder what Larry Graham thinks about all this..
