nice! thanks for the heads up
no worries baby dawgy
Hell yeah. Thank you. Just started downloading now!!!!!
Pay close attention to the live mixes ie. Radio one's big weekend, etc.
Most normal episodes of The Essential Mix are mixes that were constructed in Ableton and don't really reflect a dj's mixing style and technique live.
Deadmau5 is 3 hours long in San Antonio, Ibizz bk 2 bk with Luciano.
DJ Yoda one is dope an all.
GO OILERS
don't really care about the mixing style Edmont
all about the tracklisting ya feel me shortee?
sick, i have benn getting mine from alldj.org
thanks for the heads up...this is clutch
I suggest Shy FX if you like ragga Drum & Bass
The best essential mix of the past three years is The Twelves on 12.19.09... The track selection is incredible, the mixing flawless, and best of all its done LIVE.
UNDERWORLD - 2015 - THE PRODIGY
Seriously right
I don't want all teh Emos to post comments on like how Boys Noize is amazing and the best mix and how DnB is the best music ever.
Really not interested. I don't need Coachella to tell me what good dance music is.
But one thing I will say is, it's very biased, as there is a lack of old skool hardcore and happy hardcore and considering those styles of music made so much money and were so popular in the mid 90s, there should be more mixes like those.
I mean, in 1994 I don't think anybody was listening to Evil Eddie Richards if I'm honest. The frickin Hot Chip of of the early 90s.
for the record, the Boys Noize Essential Mix is pretty much flawless. but i'm not coming into your thread to jock his nuts as i usually would. nope, instead just to say thanks for posting this. good man! :]
another site i use: ump3.de.
They should Stephen Fry with a grammarphone just dropping some Chopin and Charlie Mingus.
But nah, little college kids with psychedlic hoodies and Kanye sunglasses wouldn't appreciate it.
Shit would be dope tho!
Boys Noize's most recent Essential Mix was recorded off vinyl... he still wins
Coachella isnt in San Bernandino thank god
And you are correct there. Over the past year they've done way too many repeat sets ala Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Annie Mac, etc. Its not that I have anything against them, well, except Deadmau5, but itd rather have something new... One thing ive enjoyed most about the Essential Mix is the combination of established older artists (AVB, Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Felix Da Housecat, etc) with smaller artists like The Twelves, Herve'. Caspa, etc. Its almost like a welcome to the big leagues, check out last week to see how its done
UNDERWORLD - 2015 - THE PRODIGY
wonder when Jack Beats will get one...
UNDERWORLD - 2015 - THE PRODIGY
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Spamalot (7/31), HARD (8/1) 2001 Space Odyssey with LA Phil (8/12), Opeth (10/18), TOOL (10/31), Coachella 2016 (WK1), David Gilmour (Wherever I need to go)
Aphex Twin, playing a couple of notes on a Fisher Price keyboard
Stevie Hyper D in the background reading out the lottery numbers
shit would leave me stoked
MSTRKRFT's from 2008 is spectacular also... and they are just as good in person

Nice one J
Props to J
i have a hard time getting into essential mixes, something about being removed from the live atmosphere makes it feel like you lose the artists touch. even with the good ones i've heard by artists i've seen before i can't help but think to myself how much less awesome it is than seeing it live.
