middleagedchella. Not one show at Red Rocks worth it so far. At least this time last year we had Leonard Cohen scheduled.
Rodrigo Y Gabriela @ Red Rocks 8/20
Pretty lights Saturday 7 August 2010 at 7:30pm
Pretty Lights just sold out a venue here that the Arctic Monkeys couldn't sell out a week later. I was very surprised.
Pretty lights sold out five dates in a row here. The red rocks show last year was excellent.
8/25 BB King and Al Green and Buddy Guy
Holy Fuck! I want! I still have yet to see Buddy Guy

I'm considering the Rodrigo y Gabriela show since it's on a Friday. Hmm. I need to decide soon because of the way the seating works for that show. The first 50 rows (I think) are reserved then it's GA at the top.
For those making fun of acts like Sheryl Crow at Red Rocks, how is that different from any other year? Red Rocks seems to always lean toward the older crowd, with really good indie rocks/electronic/etc. sprinkled in.
I know for Wilco it was like the first 25 rows are GA then a section in the middle was all reserved and the top was all GA as well. I had reserved seats in row 35 and was pissed I paid extra when I was able to sit much closer in GA.
Anybody going to Bisco Inferno?
prolly.
Was going to Bisco, but now heading to Movement.
I'm excited about RyR and Tom Petty and am foolishly holding out hope for a Gorillaz show.

im moving to denver in august, i cant wait to start going to Red Rocks!
Can I just get a roll call of who has been to the Sound Tribe Sector 9 red rocks show show before?
Put bluntly, it's an out of body experience. 2010 will be my 4th year, and I'm extremely hyped.
Friday September 10th- STS9 - Thievery Corporation - Alex B (of Pnuma Trio)
Saturday September 11th- STS9 - Ghostland Observatory - Big Gigantic
Last year they set it up with a second mini stage on the top of the venue, which worked remarkably well. STS9 came with Pretty Lights, Pnuma Trio, Flying Lotus, The Album Leaf, and Daedelus. Don't know if they're doing the double stage thing again, but either way this is gonna be a magical weekend!

Just got an email today from a reader who heard that Tool have booked to play two shows at the Red Rocks in Colorado on the 27th & 28th of July. Not sure about this source though, so definitely in the rumour category for now…
I wonder if they have ever played the same set list 2 nights in a row in the same city?!
Idk if you're being sarcastic or not but yes they have at The Pearl.
awwwww shit.

Is there an article with that link? It doesn't show up for me. If they're filming a live dvd im 99.9% coming up for this.
Just hearsay.
