    Nutmeg
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

There are giant red rocks jutting outta the ground, and the weather can come on like gang buster, so yeah for someone from Burbank it can be kinda harsh, but weed is legal there now so trip away.

Anyone been to a concert at the Pepsi Center? Deciding between Loge seats (122 row 4) or Floor seats (FFF Row 2). I'm tall but my wife isn't and her mom isn't either. I'm thinking we only have one row of people and then a small gap between sections to contend with, on the floor, to be closer.
Upcoming: 04/10/15-04/12/15 - Coachella Weekend One; Foo Fighters - 09/27/15 (Isleta Amphitheater - Albuquerque, NM)

Sooo I made a separate thread about this show not knowing this thread existed. MAJOR FORUM FAUX PAS.

Anyway, bumping it: anyone going to the Chromeo/Cut Copy/Duke Dumont/Flume show 8/5/14 at Red Rocks?? I'm really excited, never been there before (I'm from CA). Amaaaazing lineup!

Never knew this thread existed either. Ticking off two Colorado bucket list venues this weekend in honor of my birthday. Boys Noize @ Beta on Thursday and Shpongle live, Emancipator Ensemble, and Minnesota at Red Rocks on Saturday.

I'm going to this! Never been to Red Rocks either and this looks like the perfect night to finally check it out.

Just trying to decide if VIP tickets are worth it to be closer to the front or if we'd rather hang back to take in the full scene.

Haven’t been to Red Rocks in 39 years, when I briefly lived in Denver and caught a couple summer ’75 concerts there (the Eagles and the Denver Symphony). Pretty amazing music venue (as I recall), didn’t think it would take me so long to return.

But I’m on a short vacation to CO in early August this year so I’m stoked to be going back to Red Rocks for this concert, particularly for Cut Copy and Flume. Cut Copy’s been a blast the couple times I’ve seen them (first was a great set at Coachella in ’11) and Flume at Coachella this year was great, even though the too-packed crowd in the Gobi wasn’t, so I can’t wait to catch him again in what I expect will be a much better venue, even if dancing in an amphitheater sounds a bit tricky.

My boyfriend and I will be visiting Red Rocks in August to see Jack White. Although he just played a string of dates in LA, we are using his Red Rocks show along with a flight credit I received earlier this year to make a trip out of this show. Any advice or tips for first time Red Rocks-ers? Any food suggestions or other cool stuff I should see in the Denver area would be appreciated too!

Question, have there been any changes to security protocol since the shooting at the Nas concert a few weeks ago?

I ate at two pretty good places in Denver last time I was there. Colt and Gray (http://www.coltandgray.com/) and Euclid Hall (http://euclidhall.com/).

Both were meals that I have yet to forget. I still dream about the Pig Ear Pad Thai from Euclid Hall.....

Thanks, Euclid Hall has come up multiple times from people I've talked to so I think I'll have to go there!

Royksopp just cancelled their Red Rocks date per Facebook post as of 15-20 minutes ago. That blows so hard.

Fuck Frontier Airlines. They won't give me a refund and they want to charge me $100 to cancel my ticket. I paid $130 roundtrip for the fucking ticket. This is enraging. So in the end, after my rental car, flight, and the cost of the ticket, I paid around $230 to NOT see this show.

I know it's crazy but you should have considered renting a car and driving up there instead. Not gonna lie, times like this I can see why opting for travel insurance comes in handy. What a horrible predicament.

I own a car, but I didn't want to drive 16 hours. Gas would've cost more than my plane ticket.

Wait, you rental car can't be refunded either? And why would you pay money to cancel a flight if you can't get a refund on it? And I assume they will be refunding everyone who bought a ticket to the show, yes?

I'll get the rental car refunded. That was like $30 and I imagine I'll get the show ticket refunded as well which was like $60 or so. For my flight they're calling it a change fee. My ticket is apparently non-refundabe so I have to pay a $100 fee to change to a different flight which I have until July of next year to choose.

Ohhh thought you were going with a group. I've driven solo to Denver and back and I don't blame you if the cost of fuel > plane ticket.

Just go back to Red Rocks when Lily Allen plays there next spring #@output #SethTroxlerisGOD

But seriously, there are FYF tickets on stubhub that aren't crazy priced, and those prices will probably drop as it gets nearer to the festival weekend.
