Why not? It was fun. All bands are real and rumored to be realeasing something new or to be touring, or they have already released something.

Arcade Fire will headline next time they play, truth.
Here's my second one - 1998.

Up Next: Cobra Starship, Gogol Bordello, Talib Kweli & Jean Grae
This is what I've been checking for. Not many bands on the coachella line up today have nothing released or at least coming out soon. Like Sublime was a band since 87 but didn't release their debut until 1992. I know that coachella is usually ahead of the game for break out artist but lets not get ridiculous.
Also damn you C Dub for doing 1990.

So I missed out on most of the fun while in New York, but better late than never? And it looks like everyone's been doing my favorite year...
So I don't really have many photoshop skills, yeah, Anyway, I thought I'd make my poster more like 1999's than the more recent ones. Wanted to squeeze Perry Farrell in for tradition's sake, but Porno for Pyros had split by then and Perry's solo touring didn't start until 1999. As for Daft Punk, they did their live tour in 1997, but they seem to have done some dj sets in 1998, so I just listed them as such, so it wouldn't lessen the impact of their 2006 performance. And yes, Radiohead and Bjork are co-headling a la Rage and Tool. Also, 1999's lineup was over half DJ's and EDM acts, so I compromised and chose the middle ground between that and what it is today:
1996 was my second choice for a year. Props to anyone that listed The Ramones and Lush because it was the last year that either act would have been possible.

Here's my 1990 again with some small touch ups.

Realistically, Marilyn Manson would have been your headliner with Garbage and Hole both above Bjork and Radiohead. Mighty Mighty Bosstones would have been billed higher, Elliott Smith would have been near the bottom.
Daft Punk are too high. Live vs DJ wasn't really an issue back then, so DJ-set is a bit unneeded. Pulp should be a notch higher.
*based upon tedious fact checking.
Jesus, can we have more 1996-1998 entries? I know most of you are young an all, but come on.
The Glitter Freeze
Coachella 99-10 Vet, the run has ended in 2011
I have a 96 and 98 ready to go, but I need to get the poster for them.
Also will probably make a 97 too.
And yeah, Daft is too high.
Also, in the end, that lineup seems too much like a standard coachella wishlist. I mean it's not necessarily bad, but there have definitely been more "creative" choices done.

black colored font for that type of background?
Yeah, it does...at least on my lcd monitor...can hardly read the bands that are against the darker green hills. You might wanna try a white text with maybe a black stroke around it...because if you switch to just white, then the bands against the sky might end up being hard to read.

"It's in the K" - Martha Stewart
Since the show list is very minimal...
August 29 // Chemical Brothers w/ Chromeo & Yacht @ Hollywood Bowl
September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey
(someone should give me Sufjan Stevens tickets, aint got none of those)
If I were you, and were gonna use that size poster...I would shrink the header considerably, and then make the band names somewhat larger, to fill out the space. And then if you want, instead of using a solid orange background, make it a gradient of orange....if you did all that, your poster would look 10x better I think.
