Love their album that came out last year (Machine Dreams). They have a great sound. Sweden wins at music.

excited about them playing; but im sure there will be plenty of conflicts

I prefer the self-titled to the new record, but I LOVE Little Dragon's live sound. Hoping to catch them again at Coachella.![]()
I still need to hear the self-titled.
They are billed really low so they seem likely for an early in the day act, which would be nice because fewer conflicts. But their sound is a nighttime sound. You know, they would be the perfect lead-in to Fever Ray.
Frank, my faves off the self-titled are "Twice" and "Turn Left". Especially "Twice". *swoon*
Album is called "Machine Dreams," Boourns.
Can't wait to see them on Friday!
.
I am really excited about this too. I sometimes prefer that bands like this get early time slots. It creates less conflict and the crowd tends to be a bit more sophisticated...
LOVE Little Dragon. Both albums are excellent and their live show was one of my very favorites of 2009. Yukimi has so much energy and the band plays together really well.
They ended their Dallas show with this wild version of "Wink"
I'm excited about this too. They should get a sunset spot. In Gobi, perhaps?
I look forward to see them
Mick Jagger
The singer sure has some killer dance moves.
And for the record, Machine Dreams > self-titled
Nooo, that would conflict with a sunset Grizzly Bear set
So this person took a lot of quality videos at their El Rey show last month:
Oh yeah, for all the LA people, they will be playing on 1/30:

i was at the el rey show and HATED this band live - the lead singers dancing is so distracting - i had to leave half way thru - not a good time...
SF people, you can catch them before Coachella at the Independent on 4/13 or 4/14. Tickets on sale tomorrow. I'm very excited about this show, in case there's a conflict.![]()
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's

Wow, didn't even notice Little Dragon on the poster until just now. Tight.

6/16 - John Carpenter - Orpheum

Twitter, if you dare
So a lot of these live videos are around 10 minutes for one song, which is interesting. I wonder if that will be the case at a festival. In any case, I'll definitely catch any local show after Coachella.
That dancing is the best.
Up until yesterday, I thought this band was Lucky Dragons who opened for Thom Yorke. Needless to say, I will actually have to take a look into them.
And damn, of course Boourns likes them. There is an Asian chick singer in the group!
For your health
Thanks for the SF show info!1 I am really feeling Little Dragon, I love their sound and the lead singers voice, just got my friends into them, another one of my must sees/amazing finds for Coachella 2010!! I cant wait!!
I am writing this to say, in a gentile way, Thank you, I will live my life, oh, for whether you stay or stray"
Coachella lifer!! 04, 06, 07, 08, 09 and 10!!
When I saw them, most of the songs were extended...Feather was at least ten minutes long. When she said they would play one more song, they went on a 15-20 minute rampage mashing a few songs together.
and yeah, the dancing is great. Yukimi came down and danced all through the crowd during Looking Glass (around 4:00).
for those of you who don't really like their new album as much compared to their first need to check out their live performance on kcrw
http://www.kcrw.com/media-player/med...3little_dragon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNEaA...eature=related - my favorite song on it.
i like it much better than their album release.
also, kcrw is an amazing radio station.
First one is good, but the second one is definitely better, actually.
I am completely hooked on this song. I love finding amazing tunes when I research unfamiliar artists! Thanks Coachella lineup!
FFFIIIIINNAAALLLLLYYYYYY
I wonder if they will stay the whole weekend and play with Gorillaz.
YES. Along with De La Soul and possibly DEL since Hieroglyphics (maybe a late hip hop act add?) have been touring around recently.

Loving this band!
It is because I said it was
Little Dragon is great. I actually got into them a few months before the lineup came out so I was happily surprised when I saw them on the poster.
Can't wait to see them play this song:
I am neither foxy, nor a lady.
Neil Young - Kanye West - Beck - PJ Harvey - The Knife - Basement Jaxx - Tom Waits - Shpongle (Live) - Flying Lotus (Live) - The Avalanches - Autechre - Eels - Fat Freddy's Drop - Liquid Liquid - OFWGKTA - Freddie Gibbs - Big K.R.I.T. - Phantogram - Christian Scott - Nosaj Thing - Gold Panda - James Blake
For 2011
They are very good... One group I'm really looking forward to... and praying they don't conflict with Whitest Boy Alive (that would be a tough call...).
Another good station beside KCRW is the Minneapolis-based 89.3 the Current. They are similar and both member supported (no commercials).
You can stream them for free with no extra downloads at http://www.thecurrent.org
