Talk to me in post form, sister.
Chick from The Knife. Eerie stuff. She very rarely plays live.
Edit: I posted these quickly and the first two were the same song with different titles, so I deleted one of them. Eh, you get the idea.

I'm a little surprised you took a liking to Fever Ray Thomas.
Courtney Barnett - 6/5 - The Mohawk
The Avett Brothers/Old Crow Medicine Show - 6/27 - Whitewater Amphitheater
Death Grips - 7/18 - The Mohawk
Kraftwerk - 9/25 - Bass Concert Hall
Them Crooked Vultures, if you don't already know, are a supergroup composed of Josh Home (guitar and vocals), John Paul Jones (bass and keys), and Dave Grohl (Drums). They album is pretty damn good and they slay live.
Dirty Projectors are an experimental rock group out of Brooklyn. They have blown up since releasing their album Bitte Orca last June as a result of critical masturbation over their album and most especially their song "Stillness in the Move" which was regarded being "Beyonce meets indie rock" by every blog in the world, as well as comparisons to Talking Heads which may or may not have more to do with their relationship with David Byrne than anything (they collaborated for the song "Knotty Pine" and have performed together now a few times). All of that aside, I think they're a pretty cool group.

LCD Soundsystem is the “band” formed by DFA Records founder James Murphy. I say “band” because, well, he is the band, basically. For the most part his studio albums are almost entirely self-produced. His music is a very unique blend of dance-rock, punk and disco that relies heavily on rhythm and percussion. His lyrics are very tongue-in-cheek and ironic. LCD Soundsystem has released two proper albums and a number of EPs and remixes. He is currently hard at work on album number three. When touring, Mr. Murphy recruits a number of musicians to help present his materiel. Since most of them are better at their respective instruments than James is, the live incarnation of LCD Soundsystem surpasses the already exceptional studio recordings. While James delegates most of the instruments to his band mates, he keeps one for himself: the cow bell. Mr. Murphy has stated publicly that this will be his last album and tour as LCD Soundsystem, so for many of you casual fans and admirers, Friday April 16th will be your one and only opportunity to catch this act. For the first time in 5 years I will not be attending Coachella, and out of all the acts on the lineup missing LCD will sting the most. Hope you fuckers have fun.
much love for Mr. Murphy but LCD will lose to Fever Ray, i'm afraid (should that be the case).
album - Girls Can Tell
album - Kill The Moonlight
album - Gimme Fiction
album - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
album - Transference

I imagine that LCD will open for Jay-Z, and Fever Ray will close one of the tents or possibly the Outdoor Theater, so you shouldn't have to make such an awful, Sophie's Choice-type decision.
I was prepared to give them a chance man but I just absolutely do not fucking get their allure at all. After one minute of that same keyboard note over and over in All My Friends I literally want to claw my fucking face off. Nobody else has that reaction?
did you download the big pink that i sent you, you fcking kike
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
those were not the best two songs to choose from (try losing my edge). i hope you guys are right about there not being a conflict with between LCD v FR. i would really like to hear the new stuff...and c'mon...LCD will be in the sahara. is there really any doubt?
Shut the fuck up, Amy.
Mew are a indie rock band from Denmark who border on being prog kinda stuff, but not like you would think. The album And the Glass Handed Kites is absolutely fantastic, but I know the frontman's voice can be difficult to get into. Their show back in December was the best thing I saw all year, trumping both Grizzly Bear and Fever Ray. I am not sure what it is about these guys, the music just really interests me. At times it's really riff heavy, sometimes really angular, sometimes pop oriented, and it's all blended together very well.
This is a chunk from that Glass Handed Kites album. All of the songs run into each other, so if you can imagine it with no gaps that would be a more accurate way to imagine the transitions.
This thread should not be in the Non-Coachella Discussion forum. Just sayin'.
"The first time I heard the new single off the Bravery album, I actually cried, and I do not even remember the name of that damn song. It reminded me of this girl I am in love with." - kroqken
tokyo police club. hoping to finally catch them...they've lost to conflicts the past two times. great if you like dissonance.
