11/11/11 - Bag Raiders, Grum, Holy Ghost! (Live)
Ah, I saw the date being removed, but not what was actually removed.
The upside is that what's being worked on as a replacement is much more exciting, and should definitely appeal to fans of that lineup. Fingers crossed that it all comes together.
Bah at least you didnt pay the want tickets price of 28 bucks... definitely buying a crookers ticket. Love that Italian cheese!
Green Velvet was awesome, I'm just going solo in the future as opposed to going with friends who cannot handle their booze and end up /failing the night.
Definitely liked the vibes of Control, wish there were more of them!
Green Velvet was awesome, but man did J.Phlip lay down some of the hottest booty shaking bass I've heard out in a long time. Shit was straight up nasty.
Flyer for the next month and a half of control:

Spiggums, do you open for all of these DJs? Can you please ask Riva Starr why he never comes up to play in SF?
4/15: Tama Sumo @ Seattle
4/25: Rolling Coastal Blackout Fever, Sloucher @ The Crocodile
4/27-30: Stagecoach
5/16: Mount Kimbie @ Neumo's
5/25-27: Sasquatch
What the fuck is happening on the 23rd? A drum n bass takeover of control is going to throw those crazy asians for a loop, unless Evol Intent and Adam F have both switched to electro or dubstep.
LOL. No I don't play there that often. I do normally end up chatting with most of the acts who come through though. Although why they still allow me in the Red Room, after some of the conversations I've had, I'll never know. (I've never been afraid to speak my mind, add in a few whiskeys and I can really turn into super douche)
I'm going to be out of town for Riva Starr (I'd be sad about that, cause it's a hell of a lineup start to finish that night, but I'll be in NYC for Electric Zoo). My partner in Social Cues is closing that one, however. Maybe he can find out.
My initial thought is maybe it's more a matter of him not touring the states much at this point. But as I think of it, I know of at least two other times he was in LA in the last year or so. I'm thinking this really comes down to a matter of the relationships between promoters in SF and his booking agent (or if not a relationship issue, the actual desire promoters in SF have to book him)
Ooo Drop the Lime
So the replacement for that November 11th night that was being worked on ended up being split some and the main thing moved to a different night. And a Saturday instead of a Friday. Still not exactly announced... since the booking agent has it listed:
Azari & III (live) & Matthew Dear - October 8th. Super excited about this one. There will be a third name on this night which should just add to the brilliance.
Really excited for that whole weekend. Obviously the Fred Falke night has me pumped. Then I'm seeing Erasure at the Palladium on the 8th, and straight from there to Avalon for Azari & III/Matthew Dear!
Another date to add to the first post:
October 21st - Yolanda Be Cool, Justin Martin & Round Table Knights
(2/3 of that lineup make me really happy)
I'll assume that Sebastian be allowed to smoke during his entire set.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
round table knights are great. saw them at versus a while back and thoroughly enjoyed myself. really enjoy their brand of tropicalish house.
first post updated, thank you spiggums for keeping us posted.

TheMoroseProject & Brando Commando in the Honey Lounge , this room will blow up tonight, come out for some good times.
Despite my recent aversion for LA club nights, I'm gonna try and make it out for Sebastian.
What time could we expect Sebastian to go on this Friday? Thinking of heading there after Bassnectar at Palladium, assuming that Bassnectar will end around midnight. But we'll see.
Control Headliners typically go on between 12:30 and 1am
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
