Do you own any of those round reminder stickers sold at office supply stores? You could stick them all over the present to make them look like polka dots
haaaaaahahahahaha wait nvm scratch that. I'm trying to imagine it and maybe that one might be pushing it a little
I have been way into Christmas this year. Last night I whipped up 20 pumpkin chocolate chip quick bread loves, wrapped them in cello and ribbon, and then sold them to this lady I know who is passing them off as homemade gifts for her coworkers.
While I was in the kitchen, I also did some cookies for MY coworkers, and constructed some custom gift boxes out of old green file folders so that the cookies fit perfectly in one stack inside. I was channeling Martha.
I'm also totally finished on gift shopping for family and friends, which feels good. I'm looking forward to doing some wrapping tonight, cleaning up the piles of fabric and sewing notions currently occupying ever surface of my house, and then putting my feet up and reading a trashy, trashy magazine. Ah Christmas.
Yes it does! I feel like I should continue on in my momentum and start writing thank you notes or something.
I was in a Barnes & Noble this afternoon looking for a few last minute gifts, and I saw Amy Sedaris signing stock copies of her new book. I asked her to sign one to my girlfriend, and she wrote...
Your boyfriend gave me herpes.
Very cool lady.
I made 4 different kinds of MMJ goodies to eat for xmas. Now if I had any friends to give it to
Have Another Hit Of Colorado Sunshine

Why on earth would you chose to provide something you don't eat?
spiral cut FTW
I've never had one of those hams, but hear that they are the best.
Fried turkey and smoked brisket tomorrow. Online right now trying to get ideas for sides. Creamed corn comes to mind.
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Chinese takeout ftw.
not even really in the spirit this year. its gonna be a weird christmas.
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
We're heading to Houston in the morning. We'll be eating Italian food for Christmas dinner...stuffed pasta, spaghetti, etc. I don't eat beef or pork, and my aunt puts all the meat (and hard boiled eggs) in the pasta sauce. So I'm bringing a veggie sauce. Figured others might want veggies with their meat. I chopped up eggplant, sweet onion, red bell pepper, fresh basil, and Campari tomatoes and let it all simmer with some olive oil and chopped garlic until the eggplant was soft. Turned out great.
My name is Becca. Hi.
This year is very strange for me. My family is all split up for the first time (sister has been up in Santa Barbara for school, brother moved to New Orleans in September) and my mom has been having hard times and doesn't have a proper house where we can gather for Christmas times.
My sister just got into town and her, my mom and i are going to have dinner at an Italian restaraunt tonight. BUT tomorrow we fly to New Hampshire to be with my cousins and uncle and spend a Christmasy week in the winter wonderland of endless snow that is NH and my brother is flying out to meet us! I suspect that will help me get into the mood.

I missed the small boardie ice-skating party but tonight I'm going skating downtown with my boyfriend under the Christmas tree! I'm usually a bit of a holiday grouch, but I'm actually looking forward to opening presents tomorrow and spending a SHORT amount of time with my family.
