Brad you think you're going to explore but then you wake up late and hungover and go out to the diner and come back and it's music time.

I just want Stage 2 to have an incline of some sort for the shorties amongst us. But I don't think Kutshers has anything like that.

Did anyone actually see inside the skating rink?

And yeah, I'm going to buy snacks and forgo the food court entirely if it rains again. Granola bars and massive bags full of apples, here I come.

Skipping the food court would have meant skipping cold sesame noodles and ridiculously good oatmeal raisin cookies, though. I risked the exploding tarp for that.

WAIT: Maybe if they're moving Stage 2, then its former location can be turned back into a dining facility. Yes? YES?

I would be shocked if stage 2 moved outside. too much work, too much planning, and it being outdoors just wouldn't be as good, especially during the day. not a big fan of that idea

i was kind of thinking how nice it would be to have like James Blackshaw or someone play by the lake. Or in that outdoor pool with no water in it.

Awesome that they are moving stage two. Anything they'd choose would probably be a step up from that ricochet chamber. I'm really excited for additions.... Still hoping for Tom Waits. But I'd be overjoyed with a lot less...

Also from the ATP NY FAQ
    What happens if it rains?

All ATP New York performances take place indoors in intimate venues with fantastic sound systems so there's no chance of us being rained off.

So, Hey, Y'all should really bring the Clean and the 3Ds over to the US. And get the Chills while you're at it. We could have ourselves a right Kiwi jump off.

    We wouldnt move it outside.

If i had to pick a few bands from the groening lineup for NY it would probably be Konono No1, Ponytail and The Tiger Lillies. but bear in mind i have no say in the line-up so i'm not hinting at anything.

  14. #1394

    Konono would be bangin'.

Jarmusch is a huge fan of Ethiopian jazz kingpin Mulatu Astatke (his sounds are all over Broken Flowers), so I keep hoping he'll be announced...

Mike and I did this in 2008. We were both getting up early every day, so we wandered around and saw quite a bit of Kutchers. It's a hell of a place.

All my cash went to beer and Asia dogs. I dream about those ALL THE TIME because THEY WERE SO GOOD. I probably wasted a lot of money on them (ie buying two in a row) but I DID bring in Cheeze Its (and my own beer) some days...That's being frugal enough for me.

I bet you they're moving the stage because of the chandelier fiasco during BMSR...That shit was scary. I thought I had glass in my head all day Skating Rink would be rad! (Can it be a rollerdisco, though, Jamie?)

Will we get a chance to see Emeralds live for ourselves first-hand in Europe this year?

Mark: “We’ll have a number of festival one-off performances in the second half of the year.”

Hey ATP... If you haven't. Do it.
