just a silly displacement fur test using free animation software Daz studio, not meant to invoke any deep feelings, am extremely puzzled by some comments recieved on this.

How can this one-word song and childish animation leave me with unsettling questions about the nature of existence?
"Who is this doing this synthetic type of Alpha Beta psychedelic funkin'?"
Bumping this thread because I've got some real life cat questions.
Ever since O-Bob and I moved into our home about a year ago, there has been a cute little cat running around the neighborhood that we've taken notice of -- hiding under my car, climbing around the back yard fence, just hanging out in the grass or bushes. I've never been a cat owner or a cat person in general, but I've been fond of this little cat ever since I first saw her. We had never been able to figure out if she was a stray or someone's cat, but over the winter, it became apparent that she was staying inside one of the neighbor's homes. We've seen more of her over the spring and summer, and especially over the last six weeks. The cat has started hanging out on our porch, meeting us when we come home, and genuinely showing a real sense of affection for us. I'll stop and pet her, and take time to say hi as I'm coming or going. About a week ago, the people that we believed she was living with were gone on vacation, and O-Bob started putting some food and water out for her, and we even made her a little box to sleep in. When the neighbors came back, we talked to them and found out that the cat (who is named Mazey!) was abandoned or kicked out by a former neighbor in the neighborhood, and that the cat had largely lived in the outdoors. The neighbors allow the cat to come and go through their dog's doggie door, and have given the cat a place to sleep, but they don't feel like the cat is their cat, and encouraged us to take an interest in the cat as much as we care to. "It's the neighborhood cat" they say.
Mazey is now hanging out around our porch a lot. We've invited her inside a few times, and she has tentatively and nervously come in and checked things out inside our home, but then wants to go back outside after a few minutes. We will put her back out and she'll hang out on the porch, and loves for us to come out and give her attention, but then seems too nervous to come back in. She'll hesitate at the threshold of our door . . . it's cute and sad at the same time.
So what should we do with this cat? Should we continue to develop a relationship with it? Should we just let it roam around and continue to be friendly with it, but otherwise not worry about letting the cat come inside? I am quite fond of this little cat, and I can see that it has taken a liking for us, but I'm not sure what it wants or needs from us, or what would be in its best interest.
i have had a cat pretty much nonstop since i was 5 years old. that's a lot of years. even more in cat years.
I don't know your neighborhood but where i live cats are not safe out of doors. Coyotes, owls, hawks... too many predators. they don't live.
but cats have their own will. one experiment would be to bring it inside with you, close all the doors, go to bed, and see how it reacts. oh and feed it. if it freaks out and wants out, ok, that's what it wants. if it gets in bed and wants you to be his buddy, that's another. if he keeps his distance but doesn't freak out (most likely reaction IMO), then he's a she and she doens't know what the fuck she wants, just like people.
the last bit is sexist.
Canadians are manic and crazy, I hear.
