Last year I was so sad panda over how Asobi Seksu was one of the acts that didn't make it to F Yeah after being "confirmed" for the bigger event F Yeah was originally supposed to be before funding backed out.

The Thermals randomly added a one-off show in Visalia, CA the day before F Yeah Fest, so I suppose they'll be there.

Sean's been doing really well this year with shows, or at least it's seemed like it. Every Fyeah show I've been to has been sold out, and I'm certain that a few that happened while I was gone (Jay Reatard, that one with the lead singer of Jawbreaker) did just fine. Fuck Yeah is on the horizon, dont worry.

And, I'm going to support Signals all day. Those three have given me some of the most memorable shows I've ever seen, and I'm sure they'll keep it up without Jake or the Mae Shi's back catalog. I can't wait for Shi-3, but those guys deserve a fanbase as well.

I wonder if Jake will use that to debut the new band. I doubt it. It could be his project with Ezra, the first singer of the Mae Shi. He told me last time I saw him that they were doing some work together (this was after Ezra sang with the Shi at the Smell: I could almost see the original band coming back with Jake for the newer incarnation, as 3/4 of them were on the last album (only Josh Grey replaced Ezra Buchla). How awesome would that be?
