So the entire album would be Christmas themed? Hmmmm. Plug in Baby Jesus? Darksnows? Santa Dementia?

There's got to be something new, otherwise this is a total waste. Maybe throw in two or three new songs, since they've been recording crap? Didn't they just play in Seattle? Bleh. Whatever.

This is someone who gets what I was going for with my comment.

It's going to be so depressing when they play Christmas Erased.

    Was this announced anywhere?

I can only find reference to their 2009 appearance at the fest, also on December 15th.

Looks like the radio station is announcing act one a day this week, with Foster The People so far.

Not a legit date. Deck isn't on that day, the lineup is identical to the holiday show from 2009 (sans Metric), and another band on that lineup has broken up (I'm assuming this is being taken from pollstar, which frequently gets it wrong). It also has the venue wrong, if it's got WaMu. As much as I'd love another muse show in Seattle before the next tour, this ain't it.

Well, that settles that. I received an email from a buddy who lives up there who was notified of this "announcement" and joked about me traveling there to see that show. I told him NFW, but thanks for letting me know anyways. Now I'm going to have to call him and scream "Don't waste my MFing time!!!" in an Al Pacino voice.

uh, no it doesn't. They didn't start playing more BHAR during the Resistance tour or Absolution songs during BHAR, etc...

It still going to end up being stupid next time they tour because theyll play 4 old songs in total.

muse's next tour will be similar to radiohead's pending tour, in that set lists will be full of songs off the two albums nobody wants them to play songs off.

Oh my god. Are you guys seriously discussing what future Muse setlists will be like before they have even finished the recording of their new album? Seriously? Just go back and read the last few posts. This is insane.

Not just discussing, but criticizing. This shit takes dedication!

Haha, thanks CB, good to know you've got my back around here.

That was from an "Alternative Album Covers" thread on another message board. There were a whole bunch of Muse ones in a row the other day, and that was the favorite one of mine that I put together. Now I just have to work on a holiday one.

I hope they dump a lot of the Resistance songs too, but I especially hope this new album will be a lot better.

So recent twitter pictures show there's been horns, more horns, strings, and a large choir. It's been 4 months since that last photo, I wonder how far done they are.

They're clearly copying Radiohead, who have apparently now written off their second album. Muse probably won't do anything pre-Abso now.

I really hope this new album kicks all sorts of ass...

Hell, they only do the "hits" off of Absolution, i.e.-TIRO, Hysteria, Stockholm Syndrome. When I saw em, I kpet wishing for even just Apocalypse Please, or Blackout. If this new album blows, then I don't see me hitting up their shows anytime soon.
