Whoops, I never saw this. Thank you for the congrats.
I am now in charge of curating all shows in one of the smaller, less important spaces in the museum where I currently work. (Which is still damn exciting for me!)
But that post actually referred to a young, adventurous gallery in Chinatown which invited me to guest curate an exhibit for them. Which reminds me that I still need to figure out what I'm doing and put together a proposal for them.
So... anyone have suggestions on how to find awesome artists?
rhizome.org is a great place to start if you've never checked it out. It's a hub that features a lot of work and a lot of incredible communities stem from there.
Thanks! I'm actually familiar with rhizome; I had a friend who interned doing their marketing stuff a couple years ago. But I haven't looked at the site for a while, so it's definitely good to have a reminder that it's out there.
For someone who hasn't had any children, I sure have mastered the art of diapers...
I ended up making 5 of those "Diaper Cakes" for the member's baby shower. Once I finished those, I decided to try making a "Diaper Booty." (Still couldn't diaper a real child to save the life of me though! LOL)
