Just don't get Beach House at all. Find it hard to get through a single track, never mind a whole album.
I listened to Teen Dream and the only tracks I liked were "Silver Soul" and "Lover of Mine"
On first few listens, i'm not loving the new Beach House album. I'm hoping it grows on me.

Beach House's new album is pretty similar to Team Dream but I do think the new one has some more radio friendly tracks. I can see "New Year" doing well on radio.
The best part of the entire Pitchfork review of the new Silversun album is that the entire first paragraph was trying to hammer home some deep point about the band... by using a misinterpreted lyric from Lazy Eye. He has since gone back and altered it (although it still isn't accurate), but it doesn't make any sense.
For your health
I hate it when people waste time self-importantly reviewing shitty music.
Yeah, the new SSP is a lot better than that silly score. It's actually quite a good album.
(they don't suck donkey dick...jeez)
Favorable comparisons to Little Dragon and The Field??? Embarrasing drivel. PF has a bad habit of churning out inflated dance music reviews, but this takes the cake.
Paging Philip Sherburne ...

My early take: they're still embarrassed for whiffing so badly on Discovery in 2001 (Schreiber himself wrote that review, too), and they're overcompensating now. They want to hedge their critical stance in the event that the current cheese wave finds a permanent place in the cultural firmament.
Avicci et al are the present-day equivalent of early-noughties gatecrasher trance. No danger they'll be recalled as anything other than the titular leaders of a curious, pilled-up shitshow.
I love how they gave Beck's Sea Change a 6.9. Hilarious...
Amazing, I forgot about that. Smug fucks.
