It's cute when Tom speaks to us as if we are all responsible adults like he is.

Couple Busted After In-Flight Pleasure Session
A second passenger, who reported seeing Martin’s exposed penis, told an FBI agent that the “male passenger had his hand on the back of the female’s neck and ‘was in his own world.'”
After Stroble reportedly cleaned up and Martin’s penis was no longer in the upright and locked position in row 16, fellow passengers reported that the couple resumed the intimate contact. Martin, witnesses told the FBI, placed his hand down Stroble’s pants and began “rubbing it up and down and the female assisted him.”
edit: I'm sure Allegiant charged fees for all this somehow.
She declined to expand on the nature of her relationship with Martin, other than to say that they are not married and that she has no contact information for him.
So, it figures.
Just yesterday -- literally, yesteray -- I finally pulled the trigger and bought my airline tix for a trip to China in December. I have a meeting in Hong Kong I have to go to and am then adding a short tour of the PRC after (mainly Beijing and Yangshuo). I booked the flights on American and Cathay Pacific, thinking that once the US Airways/AA merger goes down, that's where I'd want my frequent flier points.
Today, the DOJ filed suit to block the merger.
So I have to decide if I want to rebook on Star Alliance carriers so the miles will count on US Airways, or what.
We JUST got an email on this. Basically it was a surprise to everyone. Merger expected to close this year, but end of fourth quarter now. Although, since all of this is new and they don't have much information, this is speculation.
I don't understand why the United-Continental and Delta-Northwest mergers were ok, but this one isn't.
I just want to know if I'll get Dividend Miles flying on oneworld carriers in December. No one seems to be able to tell me.
I'm sure if I called Dividend Miles to ask, they would hem and haw and drool all over themselves.
I joined AAdvantage instead, thinking that if the merger doesnt' happen til after my flight, at least i can get credit later when they merge frequent flyer accounts. Hopefully that will also count towards elite status. If the merger doesn't go through, then oh well. My tix are refundable so I guess I could revisit the issue closer to the travel date.
My guess is though DOJ is posturing to get additional concessions out of AMR.
So it looks like the wife and I are going to do a week in Ireland in April 2014. I know Dublin and the Ring of Kerry fairly well, but I'd love to hear others' suggestions for places to see. Also, anyone have opinions on visiting Belfast or Derry? I've never been to Northern Ireland, and with only a week to spend I'm wondering if it's worth the time.
Eventually I will go back to Ireland and visit Newgrange, a 5000 year old passage tomb/temple.
Galway is very cool, Rob.

Looking at lodging for MFNW in Portland in early September. Someone please explain to me why mediocre Aibnb rooms are more expensive than nice hotels.
There's a certain fun irony to the notion of the future Starbucks megaexec couchsurfing in Portland.
We're cruising from Venice to Istanbul next summer. It will be the first cruise for the entire family.
Anyway, Costco travel REALLY came through today. For $10 less than we booked through the cruise chip’s website, Costco was able to upgrade us to a higher deck, give us a second stateroom across the hall, and include free alcoholic beverage packages.
