It is pretty interesting that the Bush Family and the Bin Ladens were semi close and that Osama was never caught due to the "distraction" of the Iraq war. But who knows?
I'm not saying people should blindly believe everything they're told (though, in the information age, people pretty much get routinely told every possible interpretation of every occurrence.)
I'm just saying it's not like any of the 9/11 Conspiracy theories are more plausible than the general story we've been told (if there even is one singular "general story".)
Furthermore, I love the fucking backseat steel engineers talking about how laughable it is that a building hit by a fucking plane fell in the manner it did. I didn't realize you could learn how steel responds to extreme trauma by playing Wii and jerking off.
as an outside observer, someone who's opinion isn't filtered by an allegiance to the nation that was attacked, and as someone who has carefully reviewed all the independent evidence, I can confidently say that
JOOS DID WTC
Wasn't there someone who used to post here called 911wasaninsidejob?
Conspiracy theories are created by people who feel that this chaotic world is out of their control. They need a power outside of, and greater than themselves (the evil government), to bring order and understanding of the events taking place around them. With this conspiracy frame work, they begin to fill in the missing pieces with BELIFE in unseen powers. It's a lot like religion and belife in the bible. And they defend their conspiracy with religious ferver.

Human history is rife with stories of actual conspiracies with actual conspirators doing actual real things. Somehow, though, American history has been immune.
I think the more plausible* story on 9/11 is that Bush** knew it was coming and let it happen on purpose. The biggest defense force in the history of the planet and we can't guard our own coastline? Fighter jets scrambled... 15 minutes too late.
(I do not accept that last paragraph as fact, more like a realistic possibility. The Pearl Harbor parallels*** are there.)
* - more plausible than the rigged explosives, UFOs, and all that other crap
** - or rather, Cheney and Rumsfeld.
*** - that whole thing about how FDR desperately wanted an excuse to enter the war to defeat Hitler, and so stopped selling oil to Japan (considered a reasonable provocation to war at that time), knew or at least had an inkling Pearl Harbor was coming, refused to see the Japanese ambassador, etc. I do not know how factual that theory is either, but again it seems plausible, esp. given the economic state of the country at the time.
Also does anyone actually believe the jet in Pennsylvania just crashed into the countryside there? or the whole "Let's roll" bit?
Rumsfeld's slip of the tongue, for one.
some speech he said something like "the one we shot down in Pennsylvania" then later retracted the remark. It was on the news back in the day.
Yeah . . . I was gonna stay out of it this time but I wanted to remark on this . . .
I have heard those theories too, I always wonder why the Government would hide that they shot down one of the planes? I would think Bush and Co would be very proud to have done something right. I just don't get the motive behind it.
The motive I guess would be that the "Let's roll" bit feeds into people's need to want to feel empowered and fight back in some way. It's a 'fuck yeah!' story that people can seize upon and let the 'aw fuck!' stories slide a bit.
If i was gonna come up with something that was to tie into the conspiracy of the event being staged to set up the world for a power grab, i would go with tying up loose ends. What if the passengers got control and were going to land the plane somehow? You might have some terrorists alive that need to be tried. Getting their stories in detail would be a thread that would help unravel the plan. Is there any detailed biographies on the hijackers? If not, that's kinda strange. You figure mass murderers like that would have their stories laid out in detail by now.

I still think it would be more powerful for the millitary to shoot down the plane and demonstrate that they could really protect us. It would have built faith in the Government in the face of a crisis. Rumsfeld could have had a slip of the tongue because they were thinking of taking credit away from the civilians, who knows.
