"Open the gates of manifestation that grant me the power of darkness!!!!!!"
So a friend gave me this after his ex left it at his house and I have to say it's pretty fucking awesome. Rob needs to stop doing movies and crappy solo work and just get back to this band if only for a tour.
"...piercing the night, this is black sunshine!"
And just so y'all know,Meshuggah has metal on it's knees.
They killed it at The Gods of Metal festival and have been known for upstaging the other acts they tour with-too bad their next LP doesn't see the light of day until 2011...
So there is a rumor floating around of a Metallica/Megadeth/Anthrax/Slayer tour
hopefully it's true
Kerry King said this
"I’ve heard people referencing Lars,” says King. “I don’t know Lars that well and I haven’t heard it from Lars but apparently he’s talking to somebody about it. Maybe us, Metallica, Megadeth (and), I think he even threw in Anthrax and I said in this day and age, I know we had that time together but how do you leave out Machine Head? There’s better options than Anthrax and that’s nothing against Anthrax, but they’ve just been in pieces for quite some time and that doesn’t make as much sense to me."
I think it could happen, might not last long but could probably last a few dates
Dave is a jackass but seems to be over it nowadays
Dog fashion disco and The alter boys. I dig it.
Austrian death machine makes me giggle. Its fun.

YEAH listened to this about a week ago at my brother's house. it's amazing. Saw them them open for Clutch about 2 months ago and they ROCKED...looks like they'll be headlining the Troubadour in December as well
Pelican tonight! Wahooo!
I think I am going to see Marduk and Nachtmystium at the Clubhouse in December.
I don't think I'm hosting a 2016 collaborative playlist.
I can't stop listening to Anvil's "This Is Thirteen".Of course I would not have known about it without the movie, but like to think I would have appreciated it's sheer greatness upon first listen. It reminds me a lot of Danzig's best.
I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.
Someone just gave me the YOB discography and holy shit these guys are amazing
Cattle Decapitation are a vegan "extreme metal" band. What a weird combination.
So I was listening to "A Sun That Never Sets" and Neurosis is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread
Have you ever listened to metal? There is a lot of good stuff out there besides Slayer
Is anyone going to check out DRI at The Key Club? I think it's next month.
So I was really hoping to do Roadburn this year especially after I saw what the lineup was so far:
Enslaved, Trinacria, Dream of An Opium Eater, Goatsnake, YOB doing 2 sets, Mouth Of The Architect, Triptykon, Thorr’s Hammer, Comus, Master Musicians of Bukkake, Karma To Burn, Shrinebuilder, Moss, Altar of Plagues, Brant Bjork & The Bros, Yakuza, Nachtmystium,
Candlemass will perform their classic album, “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” in its entirety with Johan Längquist on vocals. There will be a special part of the set that incorporates new singer Robert Lowe as well
Enslaved/Shining (NO), playing their Armageddon concerto
Tom Gabriel Warrior, founder of the illustrious Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, has agreed to act as the curator for our festival on Friday, and host a special event at Roadburn, called Only Death Is Real.
then I saw the dates are the same as Coachella

finally got Baroness' Blue Record today and it's phenomenal. I am STOKED about seeing them in December!
