If Blink is added, I will be so pissed off.
fortunately it's not going to happen so let's stop posting about them, k?
...k
kthx
uggggggggghhh, that would bring down my coachella respect level so hard
what banning someone?
i love how everyone has to be extremely hip by hating pop punk.
but yet nobody says anything about the dance music from the sahara tent that's based off of rhythms that are just as simple, lyrics that are just as "deep", and melodies that are repetitive and simple as pop punk.
just saying. pop punk is a perfectly legitimate form of music. it's simple, fun, and doesn't take itself seriously. Blink doesn't claim to be smart, complex, or profound. it's just simple music. who cares?
I don't listen to Blink-182 anymore. But I would definately go see them live. I basically grew up on their music. I am sure they would be a blast live.
With that being said, Coachella isn't the place for them. They won't be added.
With THAT being said, Blink-182>The Killers
I was at Fatburger a few months ago. There were some teens there that had about 8 Blink-182 songs lined up on the free jukebox. Then they left, causing me to sit through it for the next 20 minutes, ruining my lunch. I wanted to commit violent acts. I still hate those teens to this day.
NEWS FLASH: Blink 182 is for 12 year olds.
I doubt TRAV$ (or however you spell it)'s doctor will permit an upside drum solo of death after all he has been through. and what is a Blink-182 song going to be about nowadays... the trials and tribulations of making it over the hill?
this would be the one act worse than the killers.
To me, every pop punk song sounds the exact same and that song sucks. That being said, Blink-182 did it slightly better than their successors.
Regardless, pop punk is an oxymoron in itself and anyone that plays it is a complete poser. Get tattoos on your entire body and try to be a badass playing tough music for 14 year old girls on MTV. What is wrong with this picture?

If technicality determined quality, then the Beatles wouldn't 'carry that weight'

waste of a stage
lets not forget that the tail available for date-rape during a blink 182 set multiplies exponentially...haha....three cheers for roofies..
*sigh*..where would the world be without rape jokes?

looks like i'm going to die of dehydration and shit my pants seeing as i won't be leaving the sahara just to avoid having to see any überbroheimers.
See, the small issue with Blink being invited to play Coachella is anyone with two brain cells to rub together would intentionally avoid the 3-day pass and just buy single day tickets to the other two. Why? Because it would be the single worst act, certainly near the top of the bill, the festival has ever seen. That POS breaking up was the best thing that ever happened to music until they all started having side projects that sounded the same, so then there were like three Blink albums coming out at once.
I don't care if Muse, Leonard Cohen, YYY's, The Cure, Franz, and Arcade Fire open for them, I would lead a protest to boycott any day they were listed.
While I agree Blink should never be at Coachella, your intent to boycott an ENTIRE DAY and argument that the logical response is to pony up $200 in single day tickets rather than $269 for a 3-day pass is absurd. You'd really miss an entire day of other music going on because of one shitty sub or headliner? You couldn't find anything else to do while they played, and you'd waste your time trying to rally people to protest? Come on.
