I have seen most of these bands
Rammstein is the one that I want to see agin the MOST because it is such a raging spectacle. SO MUCH FIRE holy christ
the opening scene from XXX probably gives the best example of what it's like because the quality is good...and it's EXACTLY what their performances are like
for some of the other bands
I feel like Mastodon probably fits the most in terms of what they do musically...and they are incredible live
SOAD is really, really good live too, and are big enough to do a headlinging or pre-headlinging spot...but have done so many ozzfests and that type of metal festival type stuff. I saw them at the SOULS 2000 show at the Palace and then at the SOULS 2005 show at Universal Amphitheatre
Mindless is really fun live and certainly a spectacle for people who have no idea who they are. It would be really weird seeing them outside during the day though.
Isis or KMFDM. I guess I'll go with KMFDM
Sure they are not on the list but they are touring:
Helmet
Have Another Hit Of Colorado Sunshine
SOAD of course!

-Mastodon rocked in 09, though they did have some technical problems with sound levels.
-System Of A Down is a toss-up for me, I wouldn't really want to look foward to the hordes upons hordes of morons that they'd bring in, even though at some point everyone seemed to like them between 2002-2006. I'd also only want to hear songs from only the first two LPs.
-Dillinger Escape Plan was really underwhelming.
-I saw Rammstein in 98 and it was fine, considering the bill they were on but it'd be a mistake for Paul Tollett to bring them, actually it would be rather stupid.
-I picked Isis (even though they are no more).
There's a few bands that should be considered that weren't on the list, namely:
- Deftones
- A Perfect Circle
- Killing Joke
- Meshuggah
- Opeth
- Melvins
- Helmet
- King Crimson
- Fantômas/Tomahawk
- Primus
- Kyuss
- Pelican
- Sleep
- Boris
- Bad Brains
- Glassjaw
- Far
- Will Haven
- Ministry
- Revolting Cocks
- Pitchshifter
Page Hamilton is hardcore.
GWAR would light the place up! while simultaneously bloodying it up...
Pantera on the main stage.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
glassJAw IS NEXT
That's fine, so long as they're not the premiere 'heavy' act at Coachella next year.
Why? Cause you need more time with your heavy metal brahs?
???
...no.

I'd love to see the Rammstein shitshow review once, but would never pay for a solo show, nor would I want to sit through a 2 hour set, so a shortened festival set seems like the perfect choice. Given that the setup is too big for anything but the main stage, and they'd have to play at night, seems like it would be a waste of a big slot though.
System of a Down would be a great get, that was the first heavier act I got into.
