People would care about Blur. Maybe not your average neanderthal that only knows "WOO HOO" but enough care (especially considering travelers from overseas) to provide the necessary several thousand people that would come from all-over to attend Coachella because the reunion show made the fest a can't-miss for them. If not merely to see Blur, then at least to see an attractive package deal that Blur sealed.
12/16-18 Day for Night
That's pretty much the history of britpop.
I would certainly be excited about blur.
...but not as much as Gorillaz!
looks like i got mention in a blog from san jose mercury news. but they have some good info as well:
Coachella lineup rumors: Green Day, No Doubt, Replacements,
We should be getting the lineup soon for this year’s 10th annual Coachella festival, which will take place April 17-19 in the desert outside of Palm Springs, but why not do a little speculating first?
The Jan. 17 issue of Billboard, citing “trustworthy intelligence,” says Green Day will use the fest to return to live performance after more than three years away. Also mentioned as likely performers: No Doubt, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Killers, the Black Keys, Keane and Booker T. Jones.
A music fan named scoop49er, posting on the message board at coachella.com, and acting pretty darn cocky, lists the headliners as Morrissey, the Killers and Neil Young. Lower on the bill, with a high degree of confidence, he or she has such interesting names as the Replacements (oh, God, please be true), B.B. King, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes and Franz Ferdinand. Listed as somewhat less likely are acts like Elvis Costello, Lou Reed, Public Enemy and Pavement.
What are y’all hearing? Whom do you want to see? I’m not currently planning to go, but if the ‘Mats reunite, I’m going to have to figure out a way to get down there. Doesn’t look like the early rumors about the Smiths reuniting are gonna happen, unfortunately. Anyway, we’ll keep you posted. Should know the official word later this month.

Green Day, No Doubt, Replacements?
to me this ain't right....I know that a lot of folks would love to see this, but i really, really hate Green Day and all their conceptual shitty record...
i think this photo says it all...
the dude is Zan Efron BFF!!!!
Green Day, RHCP, No Doubt = a mid 90's KROQ Weenie Roast.
12/16-18 Day for Night
RHCP WOULD BE A ABSOLUTE NON ORIGINAL HEADLINER.. AT LEAST NO DOUBT AND GREEN DAY HAVE A REASON TO HEADLINE
Maybe, but I'd rather watch RHCP than Green Day or No Doubt. These headliner rumors are getting ridiculi.
Where's the ambition?
I say The Smiths, The Cure, Genesis with Peter Gabriel, U2 performing The Joshua Tree, David Bowie, OutKast, anything but the crap being thrown around by shitty blogs.
Maybe that report got its signals crossed with a source from the Warped Tour or Bamboozle.
green day and no doubt?
what the fuck is this? coachella for 3rd graders?
god fucking damnit.
No Doubt is NOT gonna be there. This is like my fourth time posting it.
My friend was working NAMM and he got a chance to talk to one of their crew members (who is a close friend to his dad's friend [who is a pretty big name in socal music]) and he told him that they are definitely not going to play Coachella. He also added "oh yeah, don't tell anyone."
Edit- just clarifying that nothing is 100% when it comes to the lineup.

They'll probably headline the west coast version of Bamboozle in April that takes place in Irvine anyway so I don't think we have any reason to get our panties in a bunch.
