Aphex Twin: he only played for a hour and used the 1st half just to fuck with the audience. He wanted to play more.
Portishead: Yes, it WON'T happen and I don't know if it could even live up to the set they performed in 08.
Modeselektor: Conflicted with Roger Waters...
Spiritualized: I 2nd the motion. Their acoustic set was a flop. They need to come back and do a full on electric set.
St. Vincent killed it last year. I was hoping for SMD because I missed them, but they have other tour dates during all of Coachella, so that isn't happening. Boys Noize or Modeselektor would suffice.
9/14 Colleen Green @ All Star Lanes, 9/25 Chelsea Wolfe @ The Regent, 10/15 Lolawolf @ Troubadour, 10/20 Blur @ Hollywood Bowl, 10/31 Philip Glass, Kronos Quartet @ The Ace
Yeah, wow, modeselektor rocked my world......I'm glad I'm not a big roger waters/pink floyd fan........
I listen to the recording of it frequently. And I like the whole perform more now then I did then.
track 10 (Gregor Tresher - A Thousand Nights) on the aphex recording is bumpin...I really enjoyed Aphex mixed some classic house into his set before going dnb crazy the second half.
if you use winamp, that'll play flacs....wmp will play flacs too (but you can't load them into your library, can only right click the file and choose play with wmp), iTunes won't play flacs though, bummer.
For me, I would welcome the following:
Goldfrapp: completely unlikely, but I would enjoy a sunset slot on either stage
Cut Copy: a pleasant surprise, but joined late when I ditched Vampire Weekend; I would like to see their full set
dan le sac vs. Scroobius Pip: their set was a blast, but had to leave a little early to catch Goldfrapp (part of the Friday clusterf*ck), so I missed the Prince cover
I wanted SMD again too...Alas.
Boys Noize will for sure be back; I can feel it.
he is playing here in march at HARD 13 so i doubt it but you never know
Boys Noize and SMD.
You all seem to be forgetting how rare Aphex Twin is, especially in the US. He's not coming back.
