I have 8 - missing are "Barbed Wire Kisses" and "Sound of Speed".
Both excellent of course. I voted for "Darklands", primarily because it was the first Mary Chain album that was the perfect mix of noise and melody.
Psychocandy will always be the cool choice for most , but I end up playing Darklands more, so that must say something!
I think it was "just like honey". idk. the song rubbed me the wrong way.
because perhaps this is the only song you know? "lost in translation" perhaps? normally i wouldn't give a twopenny fuck about your worthless comment (see below), but to call the jesus and mary chain the poor man's cure because you heard one song over the closing credits to a movie you didn't understand is not only preposterous but what is wrong with our society as a whole. this is the dumbing down of america. how dare you contribute to that? how dare you? good day sir.
I saw on other thread that most peeps like Psychocandy, but man, Honey's Dead blows that away for me, one of my most top played discs ever.[/QUOTE]
I agree, I love that album, one of the few I can still listen to regularly (it is actually tied with 'Automatic' for me). Plus, I saw them on that tour (twice) and they were awesome. I am looking forward to seeing them again (4th time).
"Yeah chicks go nuts for that... the male camel toe."
"Yea yea! The camel tail."
I listen to one more than the others for periods of time. For a long time, it was "Stoned & Dethroned," then "Darklands"... but lately, I have been listening to "Automatic" more. "Psychocandy" is a work of art, but I probably give the nod to "Darklands."
