I've been enjoying the delicious Pumpkin Nog lately. Probably won't be anymore left on the shelf in a week tho. Kinda a Thanksgiving thing.

better late than never, I guess, but all 4 batches of eggnog are done! 2 plain, 1 with whiskey and 1 with brandy.
You might add well take a shit in my mouth. That is what egg nog is. A giant glass of poop for your face hole.

the scariest/hardest part is separating the egg yolks from the egg whites but if you don't mind getting your hands dirty, it's not bad. the most important part is to be patient for the peaks to form when mixing the eggwhites with the sugar. get it nice and thick before you whisk the two together.
this is the only part you really need:
4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
1 pint whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
4 egg whites*
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Gradually add the 1/3 cup sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved. Add the milk, cream, bourbon and nutmeg and stir to combine.
Place the egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat to soft peaks. With the mixer still running gradually add the 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Whisk the egg whites into the mixture. Chill and serve.
