Secret undercover operatives:
psychicfriend, codename DIONNE WARWICK
Paul Tollett, codename TED WILLIAMS
ADAM WEST designs a fake Coachella poster featuring Daft Punk as headliners for all 3 days, cleverly luring the cyborg beings from their lair at Republican National Committee headquarters out to the California desert. TED WILLIAMS and DIONNE WARWICK have staged a fake charity drawing and awarded the aliens free VIP passes, to isolate them from the rest of the Coachella crowd, and so that the plastic-skinned robots would relax and feel at home amongst the Hollywood elite, with whom they share so much in common. Just before Daft Punk is to take the stage, FRED SAVAGE and DANICA MCKELLAR, posing as a sweet, handholding couple from Canada, lure the borgs to try some of their Spicy Pie. At this point, BILL BIXBY, LORETTA SWIT, LINDA LAVIN, and HOWARD HESSEMAN come in dancing, surrounding the aliens as they struggle to digest their dinner. At the perfect moment, commander FREDDIE PRINZE and sharpshooting specialist JAMES DOOHAN descend in a giant flying submarine, and JAMES DOOHAN unleashes a massive, groundshaking P-I-N-G which shortcircuits the cyborg’s electronics, as well as Daft Punk’s, thereby saving both the planet and Coachella.

group sex with the members of Titus Andronicus
a light, fresh dinner of shellfish, salad, and caviar
some great show
edit: I am perfectly aware that this answer sucks. I think I need to reflect upon it further and come back and make it more, um, realistic.

I used to consider myself a Decemberists fan til I saw them at Coachella. They annoyed the hell out of me, basically. later I gave them a second chance at ACL and it simply cemented them as a shit band with the dorkiest bunch of fans ever. Colin Meloy's glasses are not the least bit ironic. Not the least bit.
I love the first two Strokes albums but seeing them at ACL last year and Coachella this year was pretty disappointing. I mean, I should have known better, but I didn't.
I'm sure I could think of others. Oh. Bob Dylan. First time I saw him, which was like the late 80s, I was so fucking hyped. Spent scalper money on close tickets. He sucked, almost unlistenable. I've seen him probably half a dozen times since, and he's ranged from really great to really bad. But that first time was the real disappointment.
Only 20% of the people in my story are reading this thread.
where is my label? LA, NY, or London?
actually late 70s would be a bit early for LA punk.
I want to know exactly how you were feeling during and after the last drive of the Cardinals/Steelers Superbowl. I remember you were there.
I know this may be difficult still.
Tom, you have the power to compel any and or all board members to answer one question truthfully in a public thread in order to avoid being banned. What is your magic question?
Wow, 12 step meetings at Coachella, who knew? SOBERCHELLA.COM
I'm a reasonable male, get off my case....
She added the phrase "meany head" to my profile.I hardly think I'm an attention whore.I train birds of prey and am I licensed falconer
Richard Hell & the Voidoids
The Dead Boys
Social Distortion and Husker Du were around by 1979 but probably not in a position to have realistically been signed, so I didn't count them.
I know I left a lot out but you said 6.
