Love it.Speaking with The Stool Pigeon, Dibb talked about the direction AnCo are favoring with the album:
"I remember saying, 'This is going to be harder for people to swallow.' There's no doubt about it: people are going to react to this….There was an instant melodic gratification to Merriweather and I think we intentionally made a record this time that is a lot more…um… [laughs] We took a left turn at weird town."
"From the first note of Merriweather you’re like, 'Oh my God, I just wanna dance' or 'My heart's exploding.' This is more like, 'This is amazing but I'm confused and I don't quite know what's going on and I think I need to listen to it again and maybe I should turn it off.'"
Josh is exaggerating. It might be like that for *some* of the newbs who latched on at MPP. For older fans, it will be more like you'll have wood.

Artwork for Centipede Hz
wow, that's horrible
EDIT: I feel like this could be a joke

If Centipede Hz causes an erection that lasts for more than 4 hours, contact your drug dealer immediately.
The title reminds me of Total Recall lettering for some reason. Or some 80's action flick.
From their Facebook page this morning:
Hey, Centipede Hz pre-orders are up now on our new online store (the baby steps towards a real website continue)!
http://dominorecordco.com/centipedehz
The album is available in 3 formats - Deluxe LP, Standard LP, and CD. The details of each format can be found on the page. All pre-orders will come with a bonus DVD including HD audio of the album, and live video excerpts from our Prospect Par...k show in 2011.
Be sure to check out the rest of our store at http://www.myanimalhome.net/store.
We're still in the process of collecting all available items from our back catalog to have for sale on there, as well as old shirts, posters and some other exclusives that we're thinking about, so if you don't see what you want, please check back another time.
Enjoy and take care,
AC

I think I enjoyed last year's Prospect Park show than 2 night stand they had @ Prospect Park in 2009. Just for the idea that a lot of people showed up expecting to hear the "hits," which, for all intents and purposes, wasn't what 2011 AC tour was about. I saw so many people being turned off by this (read: people who only like bands that play "hits" they can identify, then talk through the rest of the songs they don't know or care about ), but no one cares about those people, because they suck. Too many people were there to say they saw AC play "their fave song" aka My Girls instead of immerse themselves in the amazing sounds those dudes produce. Show was amazing. About 70% crowd was not. I'm scared for what Sigur Ros show is going to be like there....will be the first time I'll be seeing them outside since Bjork/Sigur Ros Coney Island show back in 2003!
Black Dice were awesome too. I loved when some hipster got escorted out during their set because he yacked all over the place. Get it together, dude. Hold your shit!
ps Dave's sister designed their set last tour so hopefully she'll do it again for this upcoming tour....
I like this artwork better
My guess is that's the special edition artwork. Maybe wrong? It says on the Domino site that the Limited Edition record will have a foil-embossed sleeve. That seems like what a foil-embossed version of the original artwork looked like, to me anyway.
I would say that you are likely correct.
*based upon tedious fact checking.
ordered mine. now september 4th can't get here fast enough.

I think they did change the artwork for all versions. The deluxe version is going to be those glossy covers, slightly sturdier, and 180g. Ordered my copy. Two months!

Someone posted the official lyrics on the collected animals board.
right over here..
The "new Avey tare songs" just sound like transitions in his DJ set that he attributed to himself. P4k is getting a hard on over nothing.
