Anyone manage to get the There Will Be Blood print? It could not have even been up for a minute. The second it went up I clicked the link and the page froze... I waited about 15-20 seconds then it took me to where I could add to cart. It froze while adding it to my cart, then about 30 seconds later the "sold out" message popped up. Damn.
/cool story, bro
Dips All Day Everyday.
Site locked up at first then kicked me out, saw it went up again and got through it all but got kicked to the main page once I clicked the final check out :-(
Toughest mondo drop ever dudes. Only thing this reminded me of was the Olly Moss Star Wars set in '09, but their servers were way worst then. Don't feel like total failures. Maybe AP copes on Posters and Toys at some point.
AND think of how much you are saving not having to get that sucker custom framed!
18.25x39.....wtf lol that would be an expensive custom job
the best is americanframe.com...well for those of us in the US. Not sure what shipping to Canada would be.
Great prices, the frame comes ready to go, basic matting is free, too, if memory serves. I tend to skip the mat and grab some spacers from our local craft shop, though.
Ken Taylor joins the never ending crew of artists on the Primus poster series. Got wweeeiirrrddd.
I also recommend Framing Destination - they don't have as many frame options as american frame and some others but their service and frames are top notch.
For TWBB - you just gotta be really on the ball. I managed to get a set using my and a friends account. That's about a tough a Mondo drop will ever be so you know what to expect next time.
I could not have been more "on the ball". They use multiple servers to present their site, some of them get the info quicker then others. Refreshing by hand didn't even show the posters in the store until after they tweeted about it. There are many small variables that essentially lead to luck in you getting through or not. If you read EB's mondo thread the most hardened veterans failed. Maybe 5% of people trying got one. So you're extrernely lucky I would say.
Hopefully you'll enjoy both somehow.
I mean hell, someone is offering up a stout total recall for a copy of twbb. Insanity. You basically got a golden ticket to whatever you want.
Yeah it's pretty crazy. I think it'll die down. I am 99% going to keep the variant. Not sure about the reg, perhaps sell it to offset the new Faile I got.
Also, there is still the P&T drop!
Rich Kelly gig poster tonight at Primus in Pomona. Looks great.
I hope to pick this up tonight. How limited are these prints for their shows?
Every print Primus has released this tour is an edition of 200. 100 for the show, 50 for band/crew/guests/vips, and 50 for the artist to sell on their own. They have been $30-$40 depending on the artist and qualities of the print. The prints come pre rolled and tubed with end caps, but they also have some flat copies if you want to do it yourself for whatever reason. They also have a couple copies signed by the band with proceeds going to a charity of Les' choice. Those are $100.
They were gone by the end of the show in Pomona, but Ventura tends to be pretty lax on these things in my experience. Got the tube though, so it will be safe during the show. Primus go above and beyond for their poster series. Really can't do it much better.
For what its worth, Soto released a variant to his print on the last Primus tour. I imagine he will doing the same when he sells his artist copies.
Regular LA 2012
Variant LA 2012
Enjoy the show, Eddie. Pomona gig was awesome! Amazing setlist, and the band was in great spirits. Make sure you get some 3D glasses that aren't all scratched up
The Marquee Theatre here in Tempe has started selling posters for some past shows. None of the product descriptions list the artist of the poster, but I'm sure they're probably done by a local artist.
Link to the store if you're interested, but note that they don't ship and you have to pick up your order at the venue: http://marqueetheatre.storenvy.com/c...3-all-products

Tonight's (epic) Primus poster was created by Portland native & heavyweight poster artist, Emek.
The Poster is a limited edition LASERCUT silkscreen. Glow in the Dark. Reversible. (signed and numbered on the front and the back & can be displayed on either side.)
125 copies will be available to the lucky folks in attendance tonight. They will be sold Flat, cardboard backed and sealed in a protective plastic sleeve. Did we tell you this is an epic poster ?
I imagine it would look pretty cool in person if its screen printed. Always nice finding a print for a show you went to you didn't know about.
Pretty cool poster.
Anyone know if they have one for the Santa Barbara show? I heard (on their message board I think) that they would have one, but at the show I asked and was told by merch staff that they didn't have one. Looked online later too and couldn't find one.
